  1. Just because you got some promotional interest rate (your 0.59% are by the way also APR and per month, so you still pay 14.16% real interest rate per year) doesn't mean that what I say is wrong in general. Most people pay much more interest than you pay. Here for example a random article that popped up on Google about the Honda click: https://www.ananmoney.com/honda-click125i/ This is per month and APR, real interest rate would thus be 38 to 48% per year.
  2. They charge the maximum legal APR interest rate, which is 18% or so. The real interest rate is twice the stated APR interest rate, so real interest rate will be about 36%. If you finance it over 3 years, you pay nearly twice the price for the bike, so if the bike costs 50k cash, with finance over 3 years you pay nearly 100k. Don't forget, that if he rents a motorcyle from a shop they also do the servicing for him. If the bike breaks down or has a flat tire, they will pick it up and get it fixed, and if the bike can't be used for few days while it gets fixed they will provide another bike for him to use. I've even seen offers like "once a week free cleaning included". Will you also provide these services to your friend?
  3. The police order from 2020 says that a repeated TM30 report is not nessecary: So my 90 day report should have been accepted. The IO who processed my extension had no problem with my "old" TM30 report. The IO who processed my 90 day report probably wanted to see a new TM30.
  4. I recommend this Fascino, not far from Dara https://goo.gl/maps/axGqEbDjbckLzTcf7 (parking behind the building, pass the booth with the security guard) They also have many things, but from my experience they are a bit cheaper. The advantage of Dara is that they are open until 23:00 or so, in case anybody needs some medicine at night.
  5. I did this already, as I wrote in my post: There is no requirement for me to do another TM30 for the same address, so the 90 day report for this address should have been accepted.
  6. But I'm staying in Chiang Mai, where I also got an extension last month, but they rejected my 90 day report for this address.
  7. At some point last year I did a TM30 for my condo in Chiang Mai. In the meantime I had travelled around Thailand, stayed at my girlfriends house (not Chiang Mai), applied for covid extensions etc. in other pronvinces and so on. Last month I applied for another extension in Chiang Mai, using the TM30 receipt from last year, which was no problem. Last week I tried to do my 90 day report using the new online system (for my CM address), but after two days it was declined, no explanation given, just the standard notice to go to the immigration office. I didn't want to visit the immigration office and I knew that the last TM30 report for me was done at my girlfriend's house (other province), so I just tried to submit the 90 day report for that address. This was successfully approved. Experiences might of course vary, but in my case it seems like the address of the 90 day report had to line up with my last TM30, so if you get declined you might give it a try using the latest TM30 address.
  8. E85 = 85% alcohol, so about 75% of the energy content of pure gasoline
  9. Just for the buyer, if he is a foreigner (I think Chonburi is the only province that requires a certificate of residence from the seller)
  10. Is demanding compulsory conscription for women on their agenda? Or do they just want the positives, but not the negatives, as most feminists?
  11. What is the official policy for 2nd boosters in Thailand? Do the vaccination centers routinely do them? I've had SV+AZ+AZ
  12. If a person is in Thailand, but not on an extension for working: Does the company submit a WP3 form, upon which they would get a "work permit approval letter", enabling the person to apply for an extension for working before being issued the work permit, or is some other form used in this case? When I Google WP3 it only says that this form is used when the new employee is abroad, to allow him to apply for a non-B visa.
  13. He could if he would qualify for an extension, but it sounds like he doesn't, so his only option is to leave Thailand
  14. You personally know the vet who got sued and were there while he performed the surgery to know that he is caring person and didn't do any mistakes?
  15. If there is free foreign quota you could probably just transfer it in your name. In case there is no foreign quota then you probably have to transfer it to a Thai (or company) name within 12 months.
  16. As I stated in my first post in this topic, the number in the middle is used by some online services to verify that the person using the service is in possession of the ID card, the number is called "Laser ID". It's similar to the CVV code on the back of debit/credit cards. Here the official memo to all government agencies, instructing them to not request copies of the back of the ID card: https://www.dla.go.th/upload/document/type2/2013/5/12308_1.pdf
  17. https://krungthai.com/th/krungthai-update/news-detail/478 An article in Thai saying that people should not copy the back of their ID card.
  18. Not sensitive info in itself, but some government online services (they used this for example for vaccine registrations) use the number on the back to verify that the user is actually the owner of the ID. If people hand out copies of the back of their ID card then another person could impersonate them and might be able to access sensitive data.
  19. I'm near Singburi and have to make a spontaneous visit to Chiang Mai tomorrow by car, on Thursday I will drive back to Singburi. Driving alone for so long is quite boring, so here an offer: If anybody wants to join just send me a PM with your Line ID and you can join. I don't expect anything in return, just some conversation. If you just want to join for a part of the route that's no problem, but I don't make detours, so pickup/dropoff is somewhere at the highway. I leave Singburi at 6am, I have to be in Chiang Mai at 2pm. So now I will sleep, but don't worry, if you send me a PM I will contact you tomorrow morning.
  20. TM27 is the form used to comply with section 37.2 of the immigration act: Afaik there is no immigration office which enforces this section of the law.
  21. There is probably none that asks people to do it. (Because not required anymore by law) If somebody shows up with one they might take it though, but maybe they just throw it away.
  22. As pointed out by another poster, the original Thai article doesn't actually say "she was pregnant", so this is probably just a wrong translation leading to confusion. I guess that this all stems from a misdiagnosis by a doctor/nurse. The parents were told that the girl is pregnant, which lead them into filing charges against the grandfather. The autopsy later showed that the girl wasn't actually pregnant, and that she died from cancer. Case closed.
  23. If mobile internet / hotspot is not sufficient, then I think this is the only option without a contract: https://www.ais.th/fibre/nocontract/en/
  24. Point 2.1 in this document is referring to TM27, but there is no change to it. The change mentioned in point 6 refers to point 2.2 and 2.3 in this order, both relate to TM28. The TMXX documents are related to certain sections of the immigration act. https://library.siam-legal.com/thai-law/thai-immigration-act-temporary-stay-in-the-kingdom-sections-34-39/ 37.2 = TM27 37.3 and 37.4 = TM28 Just for completeness: 37.5 = TM47 (90 day report) 38 = TM30 Just read the according sections in the law, then you know which one is applicable in which situation. Pay attention to this sentence under section 37: "The provision of (3) and (4) shall not apply to any cases under Section 34 by any conditions as prescribed by the Director General." In combination with the order which you posted above, that means that only people who entered Thailand illegally have to submit a TM28 (Which they do at their local police station, not at immigration) In theory we would have to comply with 37.2 and 38 (TM27 and TM30 respectively), but in practice immigration doesn't care about the TM27, and they only want a TM30, so that's all you have to worry about.
