  1. If this happens my winters will be easy w/o visas; 2x60 days in Th and 2x45 in Vn. 210 days total 🙂
  2. I've been around central and north 2000+km looking for "best weather" but always return to Jomtien beach. (Chiang Rai was Ok but too humid) Jomtien is not perfect but you can count on nice 'n fresh morning breeze during my 9km walk which always make my day nice. Haven't found better in Thailand yet. Next winter I try Ko Samui, small Ko Phangan and Chumphon on mainland. I found these spots from various people on international forums who like same things as I do. I don't plan to live in Asia but will spend 4-6 months in winter. I always can return to my favorite Nha Trang, Vietnam. Before I kick the bucket I also want to explore wonderful islands of Philippines! I am a big dreamer... and so many dreams have become true. No reason to change unless I get married and she is the boss. That'd be fine too. I like the way Asian women get empowered by marrying an old fart farang 🙂
  3. US to BKK via Japan by Japan Airlines. One World points OK for free flights. EU to BKK on Qatar. Qatar is very flexible for changes and One World points for free flights. Thai was good EU - BKK but not cheap. Many single Thais, divorced and/or widows, looking for a new ATM! In Asia Air Asia. Cheap & very punctual - always same lateness... Friendly stuff. DMK is terrible to get to. VietJet cheap "ice box" - win's hands down "Freezer Award".
  4. I was right about Spain but the game was very good after slow start. England didn't feed Kane enough. He's so good to score, not enough balls to him. All in all, very good Euro 2024.
  5. Just relax and don't go to pay fines you haven't even got yet! Go to hotel, ask for paper copy of TM30 report and go to Immi. I've done it many times in Jomtien and so far never problems. PS. If you do so I don't think they fine you or care what happened prior to TM30 reporting.
  6. Why don't they copy Vietnam? Just DO IT! And talk later.... Is anyone in charge? "According to Resolution 128/NQ-CP, effective from August 15, 2023, Vietnam officially grants a 45-day visa exemption from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or entry purpose, to citizens of 13 countries: South Korea, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain ..."
  7. "and not even have to enter a phone number during the Login.gov acct setup for SSA acct login purposes." I just got login.gov after many attempts. I DO have US # but it's Ultra pre-paid, 3$/ mo, and previously they didn't approve it to get verification codes. So, I marked (lied) "No phone" window and got verification to my Email. I clicked the link and got my new account. After that my phone # started to work during log in 🙂 now I'm getting codes to my phone. One thing was strange: First I got 2 "Golden Corral" verification codes! The 3rd was from SSA. How is that possible? I googled sender's ph # and it was "FREE message center". All 3 came from that sender. Check it out; https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=16156826886 Is it really so SSA is using fly-by-night companies for very important verification? Looks like they do. I took screen shots and mailed question to SSA. Let's see if they answer.
  8. It's always baffling how bad England is on this kind of competition. I guess I expect EPL level skills. My football guru, a woman, told me "England has too many stars who all want to score! No passing." I hope they hold up till end... PS. However, in this pairing I like and root for Spain! I like their style and the new super kid is great.
  9. How about getting multi entry 90-day e-visa to Vietnam as back-up? Check Nha Trang (CXR code), you may like it. AirAsia cheap from DMK. If that matters; many educated young Russians there and cheaper than Thailand. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=nha+trang
  10. Great! Thanks for telling. Others may get courage to try same.
  11. Trump's mental state is bad but physically he's super fit. That's why Ivana, Melanie and Hooters fell in love. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-trump-golf-course/ https://www.vox.com/2016/5/16/11683122/donald-trump-misogynist-sexist
  12. Great story about two who live the way I'd like to; https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/fire-couple-visited-every-national-175702940.html
  13. "does it help if you have communist ideas?😁😁😁 Maybe. It depends who's the winner after WW III dust has settled between China & the US. In the US "communism" has always been something terrible and scary. Jesus was a communist! He wanted all to have same level of earthly stuff. We in the EU, who have lived close to Russia, have seen they can't make simple bottle opener w/o copying it. The war in Ukraine should have been over in 4 days - according to Putin. It was a farce, 40 yrs old tires on trucks were popping like cherries on South Beach during spring brake.... The only thing that scares me is Russia's nukes.
  14. I think it's a proper thing. Specially if husband is one of the "Pattaya Boys".... "Mental Health Certificate: A written certification granted by a Vietnamese or competent foreign health organization within 6 months of the date the marriage application is submitted. The certificate must certify that the applicant does not have mental health conditions which render him/her incapable of making independent decisions"
  15. Jose, or who ever, knows this; Is it possible to travel VIP bus from Jomtien to Laos border at Paksan and don't cross but stay in Thailand for a week or two and then return w same company to Jomtien? I want to meet somebody there. I prefer small VIP lux bus rather than regular buses. I pay extra, if needed.
  16. Yes I do but she found an French man (who's broke...) and they are already planning marriage and family together. When women get biological clock ticking they loose common sense.... almost ANY man is OK. PS. In order to marry in Vietnam they require psychological evaluation. Would you pass? I'm on border line...
  17. Can you get married; "5-year visa exemption for Vietnam is granted to Vietnamese overseas, foreigners who are spouses, children of Vietnamese overseas, or Vietnamese citizens. The visa exemption certificate acts as a long-term visa for its holders to visit Vietnam at any time within 5 years." Cost is $ 155 for 5yrs. I consider this if/when I find her. I already had one offer but she wasn't my type. Lovely lady otherwise. The family had a large coffee and tea plantation up in the mountain next to Cambodia. I learned to process coffee in Kealakekua, HI. So there are genuine opportunities.
  18. Rules can be broken for important partner country. I bet if there's voting 80% of 26 will vote YES to welcome Brits.
  19. Now when Labor have a change to bring Brits back to EU why don't they do so? I don't know many Brits but a few I know would like do so. There are tens of thousands in Spain alone who can't enjoy their vacation homes until that happens.
  20. They are not reporting because they remember, like me, Trump told in his book "Art to make a deal": "My family came from Sweden." His dementia is nothing new...
  21. I've spent hours scanning best weather for me around the world and weatherspark has great tool for it; https://weatherspark.com/map PS. Chiang Rai seems to be best for me in Thailand.
  22. No need to do anything. He, Trump, will do it for you. Permanently. https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-confirm-plan-let-social-182011026.html
  23. Did you know this? I didn't. https://www.negros-occ.gov.ph/the-history-geography/ Where did they come from? I can't find a good source explaining. Where's James A Michener when you need him?
  24. Has anyone been to Baguio city up in the mountain? It's a cool and beautiful place - or that's what many say. After being over run by too many tourists and locals my previous escape, DaLat Vn, I need to find an other cool spot. Cool weather and cool vibe. PI is very interesting for many reason; They speak commonly good English and drive on the "right side". They, ladies, also want to have serious relationship and move to EU & USA.
  25. That's chicken feed... Many countries in EU require 65 euros per day. That's 5850e for 90days or 230 000THB. 10x more.
