Why do you say that? It's a nice area to live if you got a house with good AC system. Good people live there. Nice walk around the lake and you can fish and catch shrimp too. Excellent inexpensive food at 2 temples and many markets. The best one in Pong. It's just too hot for me.

One think I don't like in Lake Mabprachan is hot nights, no wonderful Jomtien ocean breeze! Jomtien/Pattaya beach has "the best weather in the whole Thailand" has been said many times and now I believe it. The other problem is many nasty dogs... one side of the lake is no go zone after dark. They are noisy too and can be howling for 20 min every night many times. So, I'm back to Jomtien for now.
