  1. i don't feel it at all. my guess is it's a dead "high season" Prices will need to drop if people don't return. raising prices to make up the difference does not work in any culture.
  2. i had this awhile back and knocked it out in about a week without antibiotics by drinking large amounts of juices, water, cranberry juice, lemon water, citric acid type fruit, etc. drinking all day. pissed it out basically. i was in the usa where juices are much cheaper though and i was in a hot climate where it was easy to drink liquids. the frequent urination went away so that's how i knew i got rid of it and it was not getting worse. i also drank these "live probiotic" drinks that get pro bacteria in there to eat bad bacteria, which i could "feel working". would likely be expensive to buy in thailand so don't know if it's worth it here. my only symptom was frequent urination. uti was noticed by lab tests during a routine physical.
  3. stop eating meat. you will feel much healthier.
  4. welcome to bangcock nok
  5. Chomdoi, round building
  6. not sure why you would grow breasts with testosterone. that's more like what estrogen would do, or lack of testosterone. if you're lifting weight's that often it will enhance your breasts if you have fatty tissue there. all lifting does is increase chest muscles underneath the fatty tissue. to kill off fatty tissue do something like swimming, not weight lifting.
  7. i would take the tram tram can go from the north end of walking street, over pratumnak hill and the pattaya sign and to jomtein beach. people walk the rest of the way 15 minutes or so. great idea. those elevated seats like at disneyland or a ski lift. do away with reliance on these idiotic motorbike taxis or drivers in general.
  8. vloggers choose pattaya because other locations don't get views on a monetized channel
  9. i just read somewhere that in bkk it's mostly industry causing it. the farmers and people burning stuff are used as a scapegoat with industry rarely mentioned.
  10. At very superficial level. Respect is much deeper, conveyed by voice tone, body language, dress, mannerisms...it's not all ethnicity.
  11. Lived in CM about 5 years. Got bored and moved on. I could see going back to CM when I'm much older.
  12. not speaking the language is a good reason. many people are social and pigeon english and pointing to the menu does not cut the mustard unless you're already kind of a loner and enjoy your own company.
  13. Very similar to driver resistance to rolling down the window, not wanting to give change without having an exact fare, or wanting driving directions after the location is agreed upon. It's basically a powertrip by the driver. The best thing to do is have the driver stop and find another taxi. You can fight them on it, but it makes the trip uncomfortable, and can cause further problems depending on how stubborn the driver is.
  14. a lot of people have issues with their family, good or bad. emeshed entanglements from childhood, etc. where they are manipulated into hanging around and supporting others or need support from particular family members. that makes it hard to make a far away move. it may not be just financial or laziness.
  15. getting old alone is downright scary. probably top of the list for most people. you don't realize it until you get older. if you start getting less mobile or problems with cataracts, the list goes on... there's nobody around to help you out except the maid who may not speak english. your dead or crawling for help to the next door neighbor. that's why my neighbor in bangkok went back to home country after decades (at that same apartment in bangkok). he did hire a young thai lady to help him out, but probably not for increasing physical care, it was more just for groceries, errands etc. i hope he got along ok. i think he had extended family back in the home country that settled him in.
  16. Most people don't really act on anything unless they have to. Give them a TV and a couch and food stamps and they just sit there. That's why they time limit social programs, or ween down the benefits over time, and you need to show you're looking for work. People don't like to change on their own. Ditto for moving to a foreign country. Most won't be proactive, they will just delay until they are skint broke and don't have the retirement deposit.
  17. Yep, Usa is on the other side of the world. Things are done differently there.
  18. i think many people do move... the ones that don't seem to be elderly or have medical issues and such that makes the move too difficult, or family like kids, etc. also for some living a skint life on social welfare programs like medical, welfare and food stamps it's too risky to give up the safety net and move. that money and support stops when you expatriate.
  19. your a man with a tool i mean your a tool... i mean your a man and his tool... i mean a man and his tools...
  20. Welcome to the 21st century, Buck Roger's. Contacts are great and have been a game changer for me ever since I was a teenager.
  21. You did not tell me which way to go! I hate it when they ask for directions! 🤣
