Thailand's Immigration Launches Automated Passport Control
In the future it will all be automated if the country can afford the technology. Officers will be in a back room somewhere only for irregularities. Remember 1984 when they come marching out? If you're not comfortable with it, risist the digital id's & digital currency stuff that's on the way, as everything gets linked together by AI and the surveillance state. They may even blacklist you before you get on the plane!

Possible return to the UK, without any money.
Good post. 4. Maintain ID's. Without valid ID you can't get the bank account, rental address or any type of financial services. Can get a safe deposit box at a bank before you move with your birth certificate, ID's, some cash, etc. Cheaper then a storage unit. It's always there if shtf.

US Medicare - what do most expats do?
yes, people need to play things out in their head like you say before deciding. most don't do that as they are to rushed or whatever. you usually can't drive yourself after treatment as well. so you need to arrange transportation back to your motel. add in difficulty getting food and necessities if your solo just lying in a motel somewhere not able to move around well 😗. what if someone takes your atm card from a cheap motel room and you don't have a stable address to get replacements? the problems are endless. i think some hospitals do have nice attached recovery accomodations, but in the usa prices would be through the roof unless insurance pays. so having a property you own in the area and some sort of support sytem like friends or family nearby would be important considerations whether i kept the plan b or not.

the main thing to watch out for is one person who stops, so you think it's ok to cross, but somebody passes them and blows the light. it's a trick. you feel you need to cross when one person stops. whereas, if there was no light at all you're actually safer because you wait for an all clear.- Singh Reserve
what's up with the baby talk?- Women don't excite me anymore
i don't either really, 80% of the time, or it takes somebody who is exceptional. it's just something you don't need to do as often as you get older. nothing wrong with it. how old are you? i'm mid 50's.- Managing forum toxicity and negativity
can you get rid of that pop-up ad at the bottom it's really annoying- Life’s different when you are the big cheese.
it's more about getting attention then anything else. you still remember this guy months or years later 🤣 with a strong positive or negative reaction that gave this guy energy as a man. it didn't matter if he was right, wrong, pitiful, or beautiful. You're a legend in your own mind... I mean a fine wine, picked before it's time... -robert mondavi- Do You Have Rich Friends?
i have a relative with this problem. they have a close lifelong friendship with someone from a fairly wealthy family. they developed a strong sense of entitlement mixed with envy, which is common for the millenial generation. none of the entitlement is directed at the friend, however. the entitlement is directed at immediate family members on their side, by expecting various kinds support and family gifts, etc. to afford a spendy lifestyle or live in an affulent area, or by witholding support that they should be giving. everything is manipulated so they have an advantage, basically. envy is one of the most destructive emotions. one of the cardinal sins.- Family friendly resort?
that gets expensive quickly if you do it every day. almost everywhere you go you need to buy something to hang out and relax, especially when i lived in bangkok. that's why i spend a bit more for a nice living space so i don't need to leave so often. a lot of thailand you need to buy something even to just sit down.- Petty Criminal in Pattaya
