  1. a gym where no one does bench press. roll of toilet paper. ha ha.
  2. the word planet sounds a lot like someone put a t at the end of plane. but the explanation given is that it's just a coincidence that the words are similar. https://www.quora.com/Why-is-the-word-Plane-and-Planet-so-similar-but-mean-absolutely-the-opposite-of-each-other
  3. I thought it wasnt even established unanimously on this forum that there is even such a thing as cannabis addiction. It's not clear what addiction means. And number of cannabis users increasing doesn't mean addiction is increasing.
  4. keep in mind these types of vloggers make money by finding reasons to convince people to relocate. nomad capitalist always comes up with all sorts of inane reasons why people should flee the USA. of course he never talks about the negatives of the other countries he is sending people to. don't take it too personally. it's all about $$$ more than anything else.
  5. many folks on this forum have bashed pattaya because they don't approve of that lifestyle. do you expect everyone to live in a place which doesn't have their values or should people be allowed to move somewhere else? notice that pattaya and chiang mai are very different. and that's because there is a certain degree of wisdom in seperating out different types of lifestyles.
  6. what happened? did a dog bite you in the butt?
  7. Youtube has free audiobooks. Maybe not recent stuff ... This channel is called Fab Audio Books.
  8. i think i know what bogan means. but not chavs. hope you find your ideal spot.
  9. you own stocks in Seafood Sticks Corp. ? he he
  10. there's an army of what I consider "fake youtubers" out there. they all have weird nicknames, are famous with 2 million followers. the main point is not him, but what may happen to the average person. these stories are alerting the average person as to what they can and cannot get away with. so watch out for livestreaming in hotel rooms in thailand i guess.
  11. coffeehouse crime - watched a few, then decided it was having a negative impact on my psyche so stopped. serpentza - too much negativity on china, much of it biased and with hidden political agendas. so stopped watching. prefer to watch normal travel blogs.
  12. actually, a horizon implies flatness. at a certain height (not sure what that is), you should literally be able to see the earth curvature, NOT a horizon. so we need a physicist to tell us what that height would be. it requires complex physics, which is above my head. the difference between 3000 feet and 35,000 feet is because the perspective of the horizon changes with altitude. but it's still a horizon, which implies flatness. you're seeing a flat earth. you're not seeing a globe. but it could be because the altitude is not high enough. the logistics part ... could be ... could have to do with finances, managing staff etc ...
  13. not exactly sure about the maps, but in the examples given, the flights cut across perfectly. ie LA is on the path to Lima compared to the globe view ... but I don't know enough about the accuracy of those maps.
  14. pop of new zealand: 5.1 million pop of australia (close to nz for connecting flight): 25.7 million pop of south america: 422 million (maybe half cant afford to fly to new zealand) with that population, you cant have 1 direct flight per week with a hub on each continent? what about flying to southeast asia first? i don't know. i guess it's possible there aren't enough people. the other thing is ... you're a pilot right? so what do you see when you fly? I bet all you see if flatness. but you could argue that you are not high enough to see the curvature of the earth. but that would require physics to determine how high you need to be to see the curvature. maybe GammaGobulin can chime in since he has a post-doctorate in Physics.
  15. auckland to lima, peru going through LA ... distance from auckland to LA on a globe map is 10,490 KM distance from auckland directly to Lima on a globe map is 10,762 KM It's impossible to fly across the ocean directly to Lima? why not? wind currents? the bermuda triangle will suck the plane down?
  16. could be. but in some cases, the detour makes little sense and there seems to be better routes that would be commercially viable. let's just leave it at that. and ... watch out for that ice wall.
  17. meat is not processed. (apart from cold cuts .... KFC is processed as the chicken is fried in unhealthy oils ) fruit is not processed dairy - homogenized, so partially processed. but still healthy in my opinion. but some parts of europe sell raw cheese, raw butter, raw milk etc ... will be healthiest option. nuts are not a processed food
  18. no, not just sugar. need to give up all processed foods.
  19. several famous stars have possibly faked their deaths. 1 - it could be a publicity stunt. the artist becomes more of a legend. 2 - it gives the artist a chance to relax and live a normal life outside the public eye. maybe they're sick of being famous and want out jim morrison - no autopsy elvis - his middle name is misspelled on his gravestone david bowie - released a song called Lazarus where he plays a dead guy in the video .. and then he died soon after the video came out.
  20. what kind of pets do rabbits make? would you say they are loyal? does cleaning after them keep you busy?
