Feeling Insecure about dating ladyboys
Shop mak replied to Sparky Barry's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Though call, that one. How old is your friend? Are your friend willing to have a normal relationship with a women closer to his own age? Can he speak some thai? Do your friend have to live in Pattaya or Phuket, or is he willing to move to other place in Thailand? Many dating sites to find a thai women, but in my opinion, only website thaicupid have millions of single older women, who are more serious about finding a partner, than other websites. From my personal experience. Some are actually educated teachers, work for government, have master degree. Others are widow, and live on her farm. Majority or messages I receive are from women age 45 to 65. Of these maybe 1 of 50 are still attractive, the rest not so. Leaves the question: would your friend be interested in age 45 up? Many of these do also accept older man, who has been sick and need a helper / girlfriend. If your friend is willing to get married (minus sinsod), he increases his chances. Many women age 45+ work laundry shop, restaurants etc. Many are single and want a relationship. But they are average in look, and mostly 15 kilo+ too heavy. Have your friend asked if they are single? Your friend have options, if he's willing to lower his prefered age group, and looks and weight of the women. He need to be realistic, more so if he want to be 'accepted for himself'. If not, it's the rental market for him. -
Age 5 or 6, not yet started scool. Got my first dog, still remember all that day. From the puppy arrived, playing in the garden, to bed time on the floor near me, when she was crying. Took her up in my bed, and she went quiet, instantly. Cuddled her into sleep, next to me. Best friend for 14 years. Still miss my first dog, the most.

Thaksin behind bars? Experts skeptical over former PM’s latest pledge
Shop mak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The man is 73 for gods sake. No way he wants to face the music, and stay behind bars 8 years. Some said they think he will get house arrest of some form. Who knows. We have to suffer with Taksin in the news daily, until the election May 14th. -

OP @gk10012001 Can you clarify your bottom line: do you need to use a agent for the 800k, or have you found a way to transfer, even with the issues you mentioned earlier? Too others, well I moved here in the 90's and used agent since they started, know better than you how they work. My last yearly extension was less than 10k, and a popular agent who sadly passed away, formerly in soi LK Metro, then near Big C south Pattaya wanted 25k-35k. Do you know how agents actually work, and what they charge. Rhetoric Q.

Possibly yes, the number of women who have the same standard profile or messages they send ... Someone once said, thai women only love money. Of course we know that is incorrect, but the numbers of atm chasers or gold diggers are at a all time high. Talked with a few women in uniform of different type. Refreshing. When they themselves earn 20-35k, not a word about money or take care me family me. In Real Life are way better, but not many well paid gov.workers in tourist cities.

Not the best, indeed. They likely hit you with 'Not enough funds" even you show 20k baht in cash. And deny entry. Or accuse you of working in Thailand. Very likely to happen. Very young, too many covid extensions, maybe work illegal ... you're pushing your luck, and you know it. If it was me, stay away from Thailand 1 year+ many other options nearby. But your life ...

+1. I can also confirm this, Pension more than 800k + embassy letter. That's it. In OP's more complicated situation, I would personally use a agent (that half of the forum members seems to hate). Ask for recommended agent in the area you plan to stay, and it would run smooth with less requirements. If need to borrow 800k from a agent, one would typically have to pay 25,000+ for this assistance.

Talking only from personal experience, Don Muang are stricter. Had previously 1 year extension of stay that had run out. Would think it was obvious that I would apply again, told IO, and qualify again, but IO gave me a hard time. Since then I never let my extension run out, always have multiple re-entry - and - avoid Don Muang. Others will join in with different opinions, so, nothing written in stone. Just go in a queue with a male IO, said many times to be friendlier than female IO's. Your previous entry exit history are what they check first.

And some totally nonsense joins in. OP can choose to follow any advice given, or ignore any. At least many have given good ideas for a long checklist.

I travel frequently pattaya - bangkok - pattaya. Weekly. 3 accidents are not uncommon on the way, police ambulance, gridlock, flat tyre, taxi brake down, .......... Anyone can only blame themselves if they lost their domestic flight. Whatever.

Tiny room makes it all more suspicious. But if you plan to stay in Thailand for a longer time, 24 degrees is ice cold for us who stayed here since before the millenium. From 26 degree and colder I use jeans and long arm jacket outdoors. Try find eco-mode on your aircon. Try aircon on 26 degree + a fan on lowest speed, makes a world of difference. Be careful don't aim the fan at your body. Reduce the hours you run the a/c. New building, expensive ref, new converter aircon .... sorry I can only see 1 culprit: You. Running the a/c too many hours per day, on a too cold temp vs outdoors, even the newest type converter a/c will work hard then. On the upside, some apartment charges 10 baht unit. Could be worse.

Should co-owners pay for EV scooter charging.
Shop mak replied to Cricky's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Why whine about so-called thieves that 'steal' less than 1 baht per month (if very few condo units where you bought your unit) Now if there's 300-500-1,000 units, it would be down to Satang for each owner. Per Year! Think about that for a minute, let it sink in. Sitting here for weeks, arguing, name calling and my fav: 'go away'. You come across as ... well I don't want to write it. Life and the world has way bigger problems, and this is not the time for pity "satang theft". Get real. NO ev-scooter get charged daily. Nonsense. 40-50 km on 1 charge, meaning less than 1 charge per week. Charge daily and batteries are dead within 3 months, guaranteed. Riding position on these tiny things are uncomfortable, no one in their right mind use it for anything else than to 7eleven, laundry shop etc, in their area. I'm sure you be back, when all WE condo owners has to pay for fireproof charging stations. Now, THAT will be a amount many will be moaning and whining about! Can't stop evolution, and if you really so miserable for a few Satang "theft" as you call it, sell and move to another building that don't allow ev-scooters, they do exist! For now! Problem solved. -
55 sqm 1 BR condo. (condo rate less than 4B/unit) 140-190 units monthly. Aprox 500 baht, currently discounted as well. Aircon on 8 pm-6am @ 26 degrees. Ref freezer almost at max. 2 fans daytime. Move from apartment, rent a condo, half the electricity rate, specially good for you who use a lot of units. Try aircon @ 26-27 degree plus a swinging fan Edit: have a company clean your aircon, typically only 1,000 baht, well spent
