    How can Thaksin face jail when he is practically on a first-name basis with the King? Rama 10 has shortened his sentence before. It seems unlikely that he would press Thaksin on LM charges.

    I am strictly a straight expat but Thailand takes the prize as the most "gay-friendly" place I have ever visited. One of my previous girlfriends was extremely proud when her daughter came out as lesbian. No fear of pregnancy and a solution to many problems to hear her tell it. Whatever floats your boat.

    Cambodia is the obvious choice. It gets better every year. Easy visa terms, no 90-day reports and just a good retirement experience.

    Let the Chinese build and maintain the casinos and they may be inclined not to claim Thailand as part of China.
