  1. Anyone know when Vietnam will forgive the 1960's and early '70's? USA, Australia and New Zealand still all require a visa while others are free to roam 😉
  2. I took my 1992 Raymond Weil to Jacks watches on soi Bukhao (just before central Pattaya road) for a full service as it had not worked for 10 years (flat battery). They did an excellent job at a good price and 5 years later it's still somehow ticking on the same battery 😀
  3. Go ask Maneerat who you often reccomend. I did last year and they said cannot get a re-entry permit for a visa exempt entry
  4. As I said this has been discussed at length. Certain people say it can be done for visa exempt but they never actually did it and no-one else came forward saying yes they did it. I even went to agents who all told me no it cannot be done. Just Google it. So many sites say you must have a visa to get a re-entry permit and explicitly state a visa exempt and visa on arrival are not eligible for a re-entry permit.
  5. This has been discussed before. A re-entry permit is for a visa or its associated extension of permission of stay. You can not get a re-entry permit for a visa exempt entry (and why would you bother anyway, just enter again on visa exempt as he does such short stays)
  6. No, that was the week before and Billabong is not a sports bar so doesn't show it anyway
  7. Geez, Pig and Whistle was sold about 8-9 years ago. New owner wasn't allowed to eat pigs so changed its name to "Big and Whistle". How cheap a sign change is that and no wonder it failed
  8. Well you're the only one who thinks not. They added Australia and NZ in April no problems
  9. So problem solved, go to Villa for 199 baht Vegemite. You can even pick up a treat while there 😀
  10. So you bought travel insurance with the sole intent to get all your heart tests done in Thailand and have the Insurance pay for them. Why would you think travel insurance would pay for elective health checks anywhere in the World? Your naivity is unbelievable
  11. The e-visa system already works really well all over the World. Adding a few Asian embassies should be a pretty seamless addition
  12. Well $5 In Australia and 199 baht at Villa Market, seems pretty reasonable to me
  13. Are you sure it still $4.20 in Australia? I was going back to Aus every 3 months in last 2 years and prices were regularly 5-10% higher each time I came back. I used to always buy the 4 pack of four'n twenty pies for $6, when I was last there in April they were $12 And only today I found in my news feed that Aussies are outraged that a single pie is now $10.90
  14. Surprised this old chestnut is still being raised when most currencies have lost 8-9% to the baht in the last year. That means he is much better off with that 2% gain 😉
  15. This makes no sense to me. You say you were hassled for staying too long without a visa, so show your pink card. If anything that should provide IO more proof to think you are living in Thailand on visa exempt instead of the right visa? Maybe you find it easier now just because all visa exempt entries seem more relaxed since they announced the new 60 days and dropped the land border limits.
  16. You were the one that said you were at the "Indian Middle Eastern" area last night. Why can't you explain where you were?
  17. Where is the "Indian middle Eastern" area in Pattaya
  18. Can we pay you the reverse of one baht for not posting 100 words?
  19. How much is Asean Now pay you to keep posting all these boring click bait threads?
  20. Yes we all know you don't need to prove any income source if you are one of the lucky few to have an Embassy that still issues the income letter. Nothing to do with OP and this thread though as UK embassy don't issue the letter
  21. I'm sure the guys 5 years ago looking for frozen burgers will be appreciative of your help 😆
  22. Anyone that just has to buy vegemite in Thailand deserves whatever mark-up Thailand puts on it. Horrible stuff
  23. I've never done online shopping in my life but amazed how many people are singing their praises here. I just walked 100m and bought a 3 step ladder from DIY (rated to 150kg). I paid 690 baht. The advantage is that I can actually see and feel how sturdy it is and it was super-light as could pick it up with just my little finger. Surely Lazada/shoppee would not be cheaper for similar quality and you would not know how sturdy or super light it was until you actually recieve it? You wouldn't even know how high it was, which is pretty important for a ladder Ill stick to the see, feel, try before you buy!
  24. They basically want to know you have an address in the country you're applying. I uploaded my licence which has address on back. Utility bills (elec/gas/phone) were also given as examples to upload
  25. I'm reminded that bigger banks are sometimes better. Due to low daily limit of Great Southern Bank it's taken 4 days to clear out my deposit. Meanwhile I get no interest on that account for the 4 days due to first withdrawal breaching bonus interest rules. Also the instant osko transfer limit is only $5k so the daily transfers took 10-16 hours. It said it could take 3 business days, so I guess I should consider myself lucky. Meanwhile Westpac has $70k daily limit and osko instant transfer applies to the whole $70k
