Macquarie bank changing their interest rates from tomorrow, 17-Oct. Savings account: was 4.75%, now 5.00% Transaction Account: was 4.75%, now 2.75% Same as before, there are no deposit rules for bonus interest -
What happened to the "High Tea" George. I guess that was also a troll thread seeing as you're now complaining about the cost of a 6 inch subway

A gym giving away 7 day free membership in a tourist destination like Pattaya would be a really bad business decision. All the 1-2 week tourists would use it for free and then move on without a baht ever going to the gym.

Anyone else notice how good the water looks off Pattaya beach lately. Also, they might have overdone the number of palm trees as it's getting quite crowded in places (good for stopping scooters though)

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2023
Pattaya57 replied to kiko11's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I currently have a "Special Time Deposit" at Krungsri which I am getting 1.8% for 7 month term. I use this for my 800k retirement extension. I have to renew shortly and see they still have the 1.8% for 7 months but also now have a 1.9% for 10 months, so I'm likely to do that. Does anyone know of anything over 1.9% for foreigner 800k deposit? -
Well he can't work out how much A$ is 100 baht so what hope is there that he could work out a retirement plan 😉

I worked 16 years in the Middle East getting paid currency fixed to the $US so converting to $US had no exchange rate risk -

Pattaya57 replied to kiko11's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Don't know what your argument is? If you deposit US$ into a US$ fixed deposit in Thailand and withdraw the US$ back into your US$ account at end of term you have never exchanged to baht so exchange rate is irrelevant -
Aussie pension is currently $2480 per month, so about 55,000-60,000 baht per month, which is plenty for most 67+ you'd think Edit: in reality you'd also have Superannuation income as well

Some of us already have US$ accounts we can transfer from -
Could this be why gogo's are closing, they're missing your 69 baht for perving at women for 2 hours? More likely they'd be glad to kick you out and free up the seat for an actual spending customer

You earn $5 an hour when the minimum wage by law in Australia is $24.10. And how do you figure no retirement benefits This is a straight out lie which really proves this whole thread is just another GG troll.

Is this the same person that keeps going on about how analytical and academic he is and he only wants intelligent people to answer his posts 😆 How do you not know such simple math as: 100 ÷ 21.73 = $4.60 Btw if you go to a TT Exchange today you can get 2217 baht for A$100 so 44 baht more than the exchange you use giving 2173
-
Did you go to a bank exchange as 21.73 is the exact rate Krungsri Bank offered for A$ cash yesterday. Meanwhile TT Exchange was 22.05 here in Pattaya, which is why no-one should use the bank exchanges .
-
Where are getting only 21.73? You said you were in Pattaya and that's way below what the money booths give you

I was overseas for the 2000's and my Vic licence expired as I was using a UAE licence. I was shocked to find that if your licence expires more than 5 years you can't renew and you have to do the entire licence test again like a learner driver (even though I had UAE licence) Luckily I was flying into Qld 4 years and 11 months after Vic licence expiry and renewed/converted it to Qld licence no problem using my sister's address Note: you can now renew online if licence expired less than 6 months

One of the dealers I went to was Mityon who quoted the 94,500 PCX and 99,900 ADV. Other dealers then had exact same price -
