Think about it. How is a person going to open a Thai bank account and put 800k baht in it when you are applying in your home country. This is why the requirements say equivalent of 800k baht so you can use your home country bank account

Yes you can take it all out as the home country bank statement is only to show you have the funds for a 90 day non-imm O. Once in Thailand you need to open a Thai bank account and deposit 800k baht for at least 2 months before applying for the 12 month extension (obviously this 800k can come from the home bank account you used for the e-visa application)

I don't know about Bangkok Bank but I used an app generated statement from my Australia bank no problems. For info, my Krungsri Bank app gives a bank statement which I download/copy from the app so don't need bank to email me a statement.

No, you can show the equivalent off 800k baht in your home bank. However, if you happen to have a Thai bank account with 800k in it then you could show that instead.

Why would you link an American article on blood test costs in relation to blood tests in Aus? Blood tests are free in Oz. I've been getting full blood tests every 6 months since 2014. My GP originally bulk billed for the check-up but that is much harder to find now. The actual drawing of blood is free at a pathology clinic and the lab work and GP giving you the results is free (all covered by medicare). I also got a free ultrasound on liver once due results of the blood tests.

Non-imm O is under the "other visas" category, while O-A is under "Long Stay Visas"

So the rumour is that the RBA will drop the interest rate by 0.25% on the 5th of November and then again in next few months. When is it time to switch to term deposits? Savings accounts have been much better than term deposit rates for a couple of years now but I'm thinking that will change in the next 3-6 months or so. Does anyone have any good term deposit suggestions or is it still too early?
