  1. If you live 2 plus hours drive away from Jomtien then why are you using Jomtien immigration? (I understand that's the only office that requests the 3 month bank proof?)
  2. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 110 seconds
  3. Sounds like a good way to track the girlfriend 😉
  4. Unless your using Jomtien. My first 90 day report is due 90 days after the issue of my 12 month extension
  5. No it won't. 2 months before and 3 months after always
  6. Except it's in the 43's at the moment 😀
  7. I really don't see the problem in complying with the Jomtien immigration request. The form says go directly to desk 8 (so no queue to get a ticket) and show the form with a copy of passport and latest passbook page. Pretty simple (especially as I have to go there to do 90 day report anyway). For all anyone knows they tick a box on their computer saying I was a good boy so go easy on me next extension 😉
  8. Doesn't impact me one bit as I transferred baht at 24.18 to A$ in July. What I always try to do is transfer at a 3 month high on XE, which will not be anytime soon. Btw, good news is our 800k baht in bank for retirement visa is worth 8.3% more than 3 months ago 😀
  9. Haha, I emailed Siam Legal back and said I'm not interested in the O-X visa, I'm only interested in the 5 year O-A visa they advertised on their website (included link from OP). They responded with: I recommend that you review the official information provided directly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This source contains the most accurate and up-to-date details, ensuring that you have the latest requirements and guidelines. It's always a good idea to verify from official channels to avoid any potential misunderstandings or outdated information. So in other words don't read what we just published on 17 Sep, always check the MFA site instead if you want accurate information 😀
  10. You missed the point. OP shows they are advertising a 5 year O-A visa, but company responds back talking about O-X which I didn't ask about. I was just proving their advertised 5 year O-A visa doesn't exist
  11. As I said above I emailed the company link in OP requesting info on their advertised "5 year O-A visa". I just got the following email back telling me about the O-X visa which I didn't ask about 😆 I believe the Non-Immigrant O-X Visa you're referring to has been updated. The current O-X Visa allows for a 10-year stay, but you will need to exit Thailand and re-enter during the 5th year to extend your stay for another 5 years. To qualify, you must have a bank deposit of at least 3 million baht in Thailand, or a deposit of at least 1.8 million baht combined with an annual income of no less than 1.2 million baht. The full deposit must be maintained in the bank for at least one year, and no less than 1.5 million baht after that.
  12. I'm ok to do it as it's simple enough and I prefer to follow my immigration office requests. It's also same time as my first 90 day report so not a problem
  13. I was given a form too. Is it just copy of passbook needed?
  14. You keep saying this. You don't seem to realise that when the hotel or landlord of apartment submits an online TM30 application that is the reporting to immigration. You only need to provide a copy of TM30 to immigration when you apply for something at immigration (like your 30 day extension)
  15. Yes, I don't know why people are saying to get a screenshot of application. The latest TM30 system gives a very official print-out of TM30 to present to immigration This is what the TM30 system gives you (my info removed), which is just as easy to print and much more formal than a screenshot
  16. So how does that affect the A$ to Baht exchange?
  17. Good to see us Aussie under 60 year old non sex tourists complaining about Indians does not grind your gears 😉
  18. Good news on the street this week at least. $A at TT Exchange Mon - 21.95 Tue - 22.15 Wed - 22.22 Thu - 22.30 So that's a 1.6% increase in 4 days 😀
  19. @Sheryl posted this in a similar thread in April so they may be able to help?
  20. I emailed the company in the OP as I thought it would be funny to hear what they say. I immediately got this response: Welcome to Siam Legal! Your ticket #[xxxxxx] has been created. So Siam Legal advertise this on another site they created but don't advertise it on their main site? I'm guessing whoever they got to update the page on 17 Sept just really stuffed it up
  21. Yes, Google "Thailand to lower interest rates" and you'll see the Finance Minister is meeting with the central bank to request lowering interest rates to then lower the value of the baht
  22. 🎶 Don't worry, about a thing....cause every little thing, gonna be alright 😀 Or best country song, Walk the Line
  23. I find it amusing that the only posts Mr Black has made on the forum are the 2 identical UFO threads he made. Did he create the Mr Black persona from 'Men in Black' just for this 😆
  24. How do you state the above when you admitted you rent your property in Australia for cash that you don't declare to the tax office? That's tax fraud, which is up to you, but don't say you only avoid tax like everyone else...
  25. All good, they are one block away from each other and are similar price 😀
