Australian Aged Pension
Pattaya57 replied to VOICEOVER's topic in Australia & Oceania Topics and Events
Giving troll oxygen post deleted. Sorry. -
Every thread you post the same "immigration is corrupt" rubbish that has nothing to do with the thread topic. OP admits that he's been living in Thailand continuously for a long time so not surprising he got told he's not a tourist eligible for visa exempt. He's 53, get a non-imm O like most other 50+ people that live in Thailand

My experience at Jomtien is that every application required a copy of my TM30. Some examples: I'm about to do a residence certificate and the document list asks for a TM30 I did a 90 day report last month and a copy of TM30 was required and is on the 90 day required document list on the counter I did a non-imm O 12 month extension in July. I had a print out of the online TM30 I did myself. I was asked to go replace that print-out with the small TM30 slip of paper they staple into the back of passport. Luckily I didn't have to apply again, just swapped my TM30 page for the small slip of paper. Countless 30 day extensions at Jomtien since 2018. All required a copy of TM30.

Best time of day for jomtien immigration?
Pattaya57 replied to pomchop's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
To go at 4pm is pretty bad advice imo. As immigration closes at 4:30 I'm pretty sure the info desk issuing the tickets closes around 3:30ish (would depend how busy as to exact time they finish). Even if the info desk is still open, going at 4pm has huge risk if everything doesn't work perfectly. -
Best time of day for jomtien immigration?

So you think it might be dumb luck rather than believe the many of us that told you it was more efficient now and should take less than an hour (which it did) 😆 -
Of course the nationality matters in a story like this. I read every story I could find on these two because they were fellow Aussies. Sadly I also read 2 other tourists apparently died from same incident Either Danish? It is understood at least two Danish women in their 20s have died, and at least 10 have fallen ill after drinking the tainted alcohol. Or Swedish?

Sucks to be you. I'm generally done in less than an hour, 90 minutes tops (I had one time I was late arriving and had to come back after lunch) -
I find it strange that popular sports bars never seem to have enough staff during big events? I was at Witherspoons yesterday while the UFC was on. Went to order breakfast and waitress said "food will take a really long time" whatever that means. Ended up going to Sports Hub instead where not as busy but at least they could handle the service

It's discussed because this thread is about a 30 day extension, not a retirement extension. You used to always get passport same day but that changed to next day last high season. A recent report above says it's back to same day service for the 30 day extension. -
So easy option is to get a non-imm O (Retirement) e-visa unless you don't have equivalent of 800k baht in a bank somewhere. I don't see the difference between a 60 day visa exempt and a 60 day tourist visa if the reason you were denied is you live there rather than being a genuine tourist? Surely they could say the same next time as you still live there?

And 49ers have now lost to all 3 of their NFC West rivals to go 5-5 overall and last in the division. I thought having McCaffrey back would correct the ship, but nope!

Not yet. It's officially on hold until more countries have access to the e-visa site which will be used to issue the ETA

Either way that is old news. I was at Jomtien in July, September and October and there was hardly anyone there with no queues at all unlike a year ago when absolutely packed (process much faster now and number of extensions significantly reduced due to 60 days visa exempt) It also took me only 40 minutes to get a non-imm O 12 month extension as there was no queue, but people are saying here to line-up in a queue an hour before opening and then wait to get through that pre-opening crowd. Not good advice unless you want to take 2 hours
