Money from abroad
freeworld replied to Mika78's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
The UK was only referred as an example. The op needs to read the laws of the country where the property is situated and how the income from that property is treated there regarding his residence or non residence. Usually for immoveable property the primary taxation rights are with the country in which the property is situated. Taxes should be paid there and he theoretically should declare the income where he is resident as well, if it is remitted to Thailand, and claim a rebate on Thai taxes to be paid on the taxes paid where the property is situated. If there is no DTA then needs to read the laws on tax of income where the property is situated and the remittance of income to Thailand, may have to pay tax twice unless Thailand gives a pass. -

Take the uk for eg INTM153070 - Description of double taxation agreements: Income from immovable property The Article dealing with income from immovable property gives the primary taxing rights to the country in which the property is situated. But the income is also taxable in the country of residence of the taxpayer. In the United Kingdom `immovable property’ means, generally, land, the buildings erected on land, minerals in the soil and rights over land. -

He is renting something out in the other country where the income is generated. Immoveable property? He does not say. -

Is there evidence that the sole reason is to find somebody cheaper? Was he employed by the foreign global company and sent to Thailand as an expat? Presumably at such level there would be employment contracts (local and foreign) and has the company implemented the conditions in those contracts in line with Thai and foreign labour law. -
So another future tourist attraction to be developed by govt to get hordes of tourists to visit to rake in money for govt.

humans, raze the grounds of vegetation to build the power plants, raze the ground and extract the minerals and gases needed to fire the plant, the industry created to extract, manufacture, build and supply the power plants, the drain on natural water resources needed to cool the plants, increasing humans need more so they can consume to the standards they desire and feed more industry. This is just a small part of it, its a never ending cycle. -

freeworld replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Anyone notice when one is on an airconditioned train and there are lots of people on board, the cabin is hot. When most of the people get off then the train cabin cools down. It's the same with earth, a long time a go there were less humans so the earth was cool (less people, less buildings and cities, less cars and mechanical things more natural environment, ) Now today there are 8 billion humans and the earth has warmed up. -

Notice the trend. The more the environment is researched, managed and developed by special interests, govts and industry (to control warming) the more heat is created. Big business for govt and industry and wealth creators to spend and rake in revenues. -

Identification at airport

To use the ePassport gates, the traveller must have a biometric passport from the United Kingdom and certain other countries (these ePassports have the biometric logo on the front cover). The ePassport gate scanner reads all the information contained in the chip inside the passport, while a camera takes a picture of the traveller which is then compared against their passport photo using a facial recognition algorithm.[14] Once the data verification and facial recognition process is complete, doors will automatically either open, signifying that the traveller is permitted to enter the country, or remain closed and a stop icon illuminate, demonstrating that the traveller has failed the security checks and will personally meet with immigration officials. ePassports contain a chip inside it which contains information about that person's face which are taken from the digital photograph that you supply, like the distance between eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Going through egates you will also need to remove sunglasses, hats and scarves and you might need to take your glasses off too. //Edit by Maestro: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPassport_gates&ved=2ahUKEwi_972D1dKDAxWXd2wGHVMjDIEQFnoECBIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2I6kZRx8sxxcQIhtA3LQ-q -

Soft power In politics, soft power is the ability to co-opt rather than coerce. It involves shaping the preferences of others through appeal and attraction Which the Thais are quite good at. -

For wireless drivers on linux the chipset manufacturer puts out a driver for linux, when this does not work then developers fix it and put it out for community use. Mediatek wireless drivers are well supported in the linux kernel by mediatek and realtek start providing and supporting some of their dualband chipset wireless cards in the kernel now (since kernel 6.2) Intel wireless and bluetooth support in linux exists. The open source drivers are still available for use and can easily be searched and installed from aur or through a terminal. Never had any problem between bluetooth and wireless on linux. Don't have too many problems with linux distros and updating on arch and debian and solutions are readily found. Think the problem is most people just want an easy way to use an os where almost no thinking required.
