    I doubt that, any potential quality tourists who reads about people getting drunk in bars will reroute their holiday. The abject drunks will keep coming and the Thais seem content with the job of beating the excrement out of whiteys.

    Hmmh There is no such thing as a "six star hotel', standard rating is 1 to 5. And I doubt a 3 star Mandarin could exist, because of brand infringement, but I won't bother checking. And TIT, so IP protection might be wishful thinking.

    And you should have changed too. My backpacker years were the first two or three years of my active life, and I moved to 4/5 stars hotels as soon as I could afford them. That's what life is about isn't? BTW, these 4 and 5 stars hotels have always been here...
