  1. No, as I don't see how I could live in Thailand on less than 100k a month.
  2. Yep, I was a total dumbass then, spent a lot of my time reading writers of the 19th century... I didn't even have TV, was reading the Washington Post, 2 or 3 days late, but was worth getting it flown in.
  3. Sure, but all the others have gotten theirs through an exam that is an absolute farce.
  4. I don't think it would. But I am of the opinion that they should enforce a 4 month stay in the home country every couple of years. A way to ensure that these visas are truly "Non resident".
  5. Must be that buyers were rich and influential...
  6. Not if they if they keep going the way of the LTR visa; the pension doesn't have to be paid into a Thai bank while the health insurance doesn't have to be in Thai either. The whole paperwork can be in English and processed online. Can be done from home in less than a couple of hours.
  7. I find it amusing that the OP reads almost as if it was MFP that was responsible for this situation. While the 250 unelected parasites could just let them do the work they have been elected for.
  8. Warranty is very important, as many of these TVs can die after a few years. Some brands, such as Sony, give 3 years while others, like LG, only one year. The when it comes to OLED vs LCD you should know that OLED performs better in dark environments and has the drawback of a shorter life time. While LCD with full array backlight come very close to OLED an can be viewed in brighter rooms.
  9. Indeed, what is the difference between a guy picking his nose over the next paragraph of a business case and a guy picking his nose over his next witty post on Aseannow?
  10. Everything about Thais has been written here so many times. And obviously it is all true.
  11. Better, you could open the roof and drive standing.
  12. Yep, I used to drive this in my younger years, wasn't a rally car and I managed to stop it, most of the time. And, some may say it is more advance than the Fortuner as it was a front wheel drive.
