  1. Put it this way. It's very unlikely that Putin's meat army will occupy all of the oblasts that he has proclaimed as already Russia within 50 days.
  2. Angry Son Japanese 2024 A surprisingly moving film with themes that I think most people, particularly expats in Thailand, will find things to relate to. The "angry son" (brilliantly acted) is a Japino, son of a discriminated against Filipino host bar worker mother and an absent Japanese father. He grows up in Japan as a very different outsider boy. Not only Japino but also a gay boy in a racist/homophobic society. Double whammy. So he has issues. Big time issues. He is indeed angry. At his mother, at his social situation, at the world. He's got a loving Japanese boyfriend but he's not ready to really commit in the way that the BF wants so has a falling out. He has issues to work out before he can even think about doing that. The conflict with his mother intensifies. In this we see a classic portrayal of a pained difficult alienated adolescence that happens so often in that tumultuous period of life. He begins a saga of searching for his absent father. That leads him in many unexpected directions. I won't say more to spoil it but I want to emphasize this is not a niche film for the gay market. It's about specific characters reflecting universal themes about all the big stuff in life. Sometimes trailers give away the entire story. This one is the opposite of that.
  3. Only people not in his cult are seeing this. People in his cult may also see it but not care because they irrationally worship him as a God King Daddy.
  4. It could be argued that automation will eliminate FBU jobs. So not sure they would be great advocates for us.
  5. Mine was over a month. Also note the DEEP STAFF CUTS at the State Department had previously been stalled by court actions but they have now recently actually happened. That includes embassy staff and in the US. Therefore it would not be at all surprising if the turnaround times increase.
  6. FBUs do not establish policies. If you want to lobby contact expat advocating lobbying groups or elected representatives of your last US address.
  7. Stop the lamo deflection and moronic personal attacks on members here. The fact is that Trump is president now. Not Biden. Not members that you insult.
  8. Exactly. Nobody takes him seriously. Two weeks. 50 days. What difference does it make in TACO MAGA world? If genocidal dictator Putin sends him a greeting card, it'll be an excuse to help his Moscow buddy yet again. He hasn't pivoted. Don't be fooled.
  9. The DOGE big ball boys who came in to smash things up at agencies are immature computer nerds. Something broke related to these letters going out, whether accidental or intentional there is no way for us mere citizens to know at this point. Assuming they eventually do go out, this doesn't actually inspire any confidence that this assaulted agency will competently process our resonses.
  10. Postimg Trumpist lies and propaganda ad nauseum does nothing at all to disprove the assertion that Trump is in a state if accelerated mental and physical decline.
  11. If you liked Lena Dunham's Girls you'll like this new series too as she's behind this but not in it as she's no longer a girl.
  12. No they weren't. They were about trade imbalances. Totally different.
  13. Commentary predicting the national moment and how the maga cult will respond by a conservative (non maga) republican.
  14. I sympathize with J street's anti-Netanyahu agenda and I really don't know what you're trying to say. Who is holding J Street captive?
