The diverse formative influences on Kamala are widely known such as Jamaican, Indian, and Oakland black, then Howard U DC black. But what is very little talked about is her formative teen years in Montreal, Canada. There was an amazing profile about that very important time in her life in the Washington Post (paywall of course). Of course, it's not mentioned by the campaign as it's not really helpful as so much of the country is xenophobic. What I'm suggesting her is that VP Harris does have a wide base of personal influences that she can draw upon for her accent variations. What might look phony to some is arguably her way of expressing her authentic self (a very very diverse self for a very very diverse nation).

There is zero logic in thinking his second term will be like his first. The situation now is radically different. I won't waste my time explaining why as I have done that countless times here before, so it's not as if you or any other Magadonian is gonna care. This election is not about turning his cult. They're set in stone.

How is her accent whatever it is of any consequence? Is it a threat to democracy or something? What I have seen and I think I am objective is that she has indeed been playing around with her speaking style and her accent variety, but the range of accent variety is fairly narrow. Nothing extreme. I think she's going for a bit of a musical speaking style, varying her tones for emphasis, and yes trying within her limitations as not being very charismatic, to be as charismatic as she can. Which again is not very charismatic, but I think better than nothing. Do you think she would help her cause more speaking in a dry monotone? I don't. Of course I want her to win, and the petty accent critics want maga fascist Trump to win, so they would be happy to see her speaking as dull as can be.

Well no doubt the core maga fascists cultists will eat it all up, whether it makes sense, or not (not). The election isn't about turning them. It's about turnout (the higher the turnout the better for Harris) and the women's vote. Puerto Ricans could help.

It's funny and totally wrong that they think all on retirement extensions have 800K income! I lived here for many many years on that status with ZERO income. That's because my extensions were based on the BANK METHOD! This tax thing is a can of worms if the revenue doesn't have even basic knowledge about such matters. Yes I had transfers of course but always much less than 800K.
