Sounds like unsweetened corn flakes are OK but not great. The brand I mentioned has no flavor additives as well. As noted in my breakfast recipe I use 1/2 cup whole multi grains no sugar muesli for the bulk of the bowl which is definitely healthier than processed cereal.
