I have seen that some hospitals have stores that sell high end health gadgets.

I bring a magnet with me when shopping for stainless steel. In the States a magnet will not strongly stick to stainless. In Thailand they will mostly stick to some degree. In my US kitchen A magnet will not stick to the faucet, can just feel some attraction to pots, and will lightly hold on to knives. Its not considered a good test for stainless but I find it helps in weeding out the real junk.

I guess it depends on location. In my village men go shirtless all the time. I do sometimes but although I am fairly good shape and a bit tanned, my whiteness makes me stand out and I feel a bit self conscious. None here would go to another village shirtless, I am sure. I read somewhere that it is against the law the drive a car shirtless in Thailand.

Wise Latest ?
bunnydrops replied to pontious's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
That is something I have always noticed when it reaches the whole numbers going up. Seems something stalls. I did a transfer Monday 9/27. Must have hit the peak, $1010 (I always pay the fee on top) and got 379807. -

As you see, there seems to be two ways to read this and I can't find any official explanation. -
Another e-visa question Line 12
bunnydrops posted a topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am a bit confused. Maybe thinking to hard. It states "Applicant is required to upload his/her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip." I am assuming they are talking about travel from my native country. My last international was from Thailand back to the States, May this year. I flew in in Jan this year. This "PAST 12 months SINCE the last international trip" has me confused. Can someone explain exactly what the are asking for? -
Non-immigrant O visa. Conserns question 8.
bunnydrops replied to marktdag's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are correct. Thanks for the correction, I had called the Thai embassy in LA last Monday and was given the wrong information. I didn't realize that they were wrong until I tried to proceed. -
"If you are transiting Japan to an onward international destination, you will not be subject to Japanese entry requirements, as long as your transit occurs within the same airport and no overnight stay is required. You will not be permitted to travel from one Japanese airport to another in order to board a connecting flight. Please note that Narita Airport does not operate 24 hours and you will not be able to stay in the transit area overnight." https://jp.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/. This stopped me from buying a round trip ticket a month ago since thr return though Japan required a change of airports from Haneda

As is stated, if you are a national of the country in which the application is submitted, nothing needs to be shown there. -
Advice on umbilical hernia in Chiang Mai.
bunnydrops replied to Haljabra's topic in Health and Medicine
I had an umbilical hernia op almost 20 years ago. My inny became an outty. I thought he would be putting in a mesh, but told me I didn't need it. I worked construction for 10 years after, lots of lifting, no problems. -
Yes, read the comments on Youtube about the procedure, lots of unhappy people.

A bit confused, Atenolol is used to reduce blood pressure, I didn't check the others. If you are taking meds to reduce blood pressure, maybe you should stop! Google search each.

Nothing new. I've seen travelers selling things they make, singing, performing acts for money in every country I have been in.

How to get rid of those little nasty red ants that bite
bunnydrops replied to 4MyEgo's topic in Isaan
Get the Chaindrite white powder sold at Makro where they sell the mosquito repellents. Put a dusting on and around the nest (a little goes a long way). If my memory is correct it contains pyrethrin, the same used for head lice. -
Visa based on Marriage
bunnydrops replied to wondra's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
On the same subject. Would it be possible to come in on a tourist visa and change directly to a one year extension if you already have to 400k in the bank or would you need to do the 90 day extension first? -
Pickup truck overturns, driver blames wet road

Come on. He couldn't say he was distracted when his girlfriend laid her head on his lap to take a nap. What would he tell his wife? -
You never know what to expect when you are put in the back room. I do know of one Thai woman that had problems when she entered with her US passport, but it was when she flew out. She came in on a visa exempt. She decided to stay longer than the visa, thinking since she was Thai citizen it wouldn't matter, When she flew out she got hit with overstay fine.

Years ago, back in the States. my girlfriend and I stopped in at a Denny's for a cup of coffee. When we left I put the money with the bill on the counter and we left. As we were driving out, two guys came and stood in front of our car and started telling us that we really should pay before leaving. They weren't going to let us leave. I went back inside where I found out the counter waitress had made a big stink to everyone that we hadn't paid. It turned out that another waitress had picked up the bill and the money. The bill was for two coffees $0.20. The guy's continuously asking "What did I do?" mkes me wonder.

Question about Retirement Visa
bunnydrops replied to CFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you plan it so you are back in the country before yearly renewal. no problem. Just get a reentry permit before you leave.
