There are more than 2 versions of WD40 see https://www.wd40.com
-
Absolutely it is one of the 2 first fix options 1) if it doesn’t move and should use WD40 2) if it does move and shouldn’t use duct/gaffer tape. These are the fixes for roughly 80% ~ 90% of simple fixes.

Suggestions for a "Cheap Charlie" Smart Phone
sometimewoodworker replied to connda's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Correct but limited information. Correct in that iOS 16 is not supported. Limited in that iOS 15 is still getting updates so has security support. Limited in that there is currently no app that will not install on iOS 15 and requires iOS 16 -

iOS 16 is not a requirement for any apps yet. They all function on iOS 15 the iPhone 6s was released in 2015. So you have 8 years of current availability for all apps. This in contrast to android where if you get more than 3 years you are doing well -
To cheap to get work done maybe.

Wrong it is currently supported, the support will drop with iOS 17, all current app versions are available for download it is not an Android where support is cut after a couple of years. -
Usually if there is a nipple it is to allow further movement, usually adding extra hot water. But if you are getting minimal movement it is probably unfit for further service without taking it apart or replacing it.

Good points, though any badly installed unit on any wall may decide that freedom is an option. ???????? https://youtu.be/To48HBVk4wA
-
We thought of that for the first one but decided that just under the roof would shade the unit for most of the day, that one is about 1.7 metres up, the ones above are on the new house and at least 3 maybe 4+ metres up
-
-
We have had a single AC, wall installed for 14 years and another 3, one is a cassette unit so quite large, installed for the last 5 years. The only possible difficulty is that being 4+ meters up they are a little harder to clean.
-
I can virtually guarantee that the answer will be no, if they were correctly mounted in the first place. Not only that there have been no firsthand reports that I have seen of any AC compressors committing suicidal jumps off the walls.
-
Total tosh and absolute ignorant BS. the weight bearing capacity of correctly built AAC block walls with correctly placed and installed saw steel anchors far exceeds the weight of a domestic, and probably many commercial, AC outdoor unit.

Do please stop describing yourself so accurately and then attributing your own situation to someone who not only talks the correct talk but is actually currently doing the job.

Anyone bought a "refurbished" phone from Lazada?
sometimewoodworker replied to giddyup's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
An Apple device can only ever set up 3 free Apple IDs. However if you already have an Apple ID you can register the phone with that, there is no limit to the number of times you can switch Apple IDs. So either use an existing ID or use a different device to set one up. -
It depends on the complexity of the microwave.

The ideal is an iPod for that use. -
Fortunately the Thai’s don’t agree and their skills are excellent as I have a motor that required re-winding and was old enough that a replacement was fabricated of unobtainum. The repair cost less than 3,000 Baht and the machine lives on to thickness more wood.
-
Humm. Someone agreed with your sentiment, I didn’t. I had a very nice volume sensing microwave that I used for about 20+ years and only don’t have it now because it was a 100V machine so it got left behind.

Aircon struggling this hot weather.
sometimewoodworker replied to giddyup's topic in The Electrical Forum
Absolutely. You very easily can, though AAC blocks are better, as long as the size isn’t too big. -
