Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records

You really need to start reading the information in front of you before you post. For Trump supporters, knowledge is like kryptonite. -
NY grand jury votes to indict Donald Trump, sources tell CNN
Berkshire replied to Scott's topic in World News
It's not that Trump supporters are angry at the current predicament. It's that a good number of Trump supporters are certifiably batsht crazy. So yes, having crazy people out there being encouraged by an even crazier demagogue (read Trump) can create a rather combustible situation. -
The ‘no-nonsense’ judge set to face Donald Trump in the courtroom

Good local comparison. But I believe Trump supporters are more like those people who fall for a Nigerian scam. The difference is people who get conned by a Nigerian scam eventually figure it out. -

I don't understand why you guys keep repeating this bogus claim. Just about every Dem would love Trump to be the GOP nominee. Especially Papa Joe, who'd welcome the chance to stomp Trump again. Trump may be the only Republican that President Biden can easily trounce. Now if you were to say that there are Republicans who don't want Trump to run again, you would have a point. -

Just about everything you've written is right wing loonie conspiracy stuff. You shouldn't be so gullible. -

So you're not an American. That explains why you have no idea what you're talking about. -
I just stumbled upon this topic as I'm thinking about this very issue. I will file for SS benefits this year and debating whether I should file with my US address or Thailand. I've looked at my online SS account and it appears I can apply online....relatively painlessly (I think, haven't started yet). My SS account still has my US address, as does my US bank accounts, brokerage, etc. But if I file with the Thai address, I'll have to go through Manila. Some say Manila's great, some say not. If anyone's filed with a US address (while living in Thailand), I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts on the matter, i.e., your experiences, difficulties, etc.

Good point. The happiest people in America today aren't the Dems but rather the traditional Republicans and conservatives. These people despise Trump but were powerless/gutless to do anything about it. But now the Dems have done the dirty work and these same Republicans can jump on the bandwagon and claim "political persecution," "election interference," blah blah blah, while celebrating Trump's demise. The modern GOP. -

Better still is the judge issuing a gag order so no one can discuss the case in public. Of course, this would be an order that Trump would be incapable of complying with. -

I hate to burst your wild fantasy bubble, but a sitting President cannot be indicted. This is why Trump was untouchable while in-office. -
Wow man, do you know how naive you sound? Nevermind Thailand, there are countless examples of wealthy men in the west who used prostitutes. Hugh Grant, Charlie Sheen, D. Trump, Robert Kraft, Tiger Woods.....just off the top of my head. And these we just happen to know about. As for Thailand, there are men who would PREFER to pay for a 22 yr old hottie than get an average 35 yr old for free. Getting sex for free in Thailand is not difficult. But those who can afford it may prefer to pay for it.

Have to agree. Yes, you'd think something would happen after Sandy Hook, but it didn't. I thought the Vegas shooting in 2017 where a guy killed roughly 60 concert goers might move the needle a bit. Still, crickets. We're to the point now where there's so many guns in circulation that no amount of legislation will fix the problem. Not that lawmakers in the GOP have any incentive/spine to do anything at all. So we will see many, many more gun deaths in the USA....forever. Guaranteed.

My understanding of these Incels is that they've reach the point of no return. Meaning that instead of trying harder to meet women, they simply decide to hate women and blame them for their misery. While Thailand could certainly solve their problem, I think some would come here and just abuse women for some sort of twisted revenge logic. Anyways, maybe an incel dude can share this thoughts.

It's crazy hard to successfully sue in the US for defamation, especially against "journalists" (quotes are for Fox specifically). You can't be sued just for being wrong. You have to be wrong, know that you're wrong, and intentionally lie with malice. There's also the issue of damages--how can your prove damages, i.e., how much financially did you suffer because of said lies. This Fox case is the strongest case I've seen, with nearly all of the elements present to prove Dominion's case. If Fox manages to weasel out of this one, it will demonstrate to the world that media companies in the US can lie with impunity and will never be held accountable. So there's quite a bit on the line.

Special counsel shows signs of ramping up Trump investigation

..."reality and truth".....from Tucker Calrson??? 5555.....too funny. This is the same Tucker Carlson who's own lawyer argued in court that no reasonable person can possibly take anything Carlson says as fact. But of course, the Fox News audience isn't known for being "reasonable" people. -
Does fact checking matter to your opinions?
Berkshire replied to ozimoron's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Interesting. I have no problem changing my mind about such things....if it's grounded in science. But I think people are much less likely to change their minds about things related to their core beliefs, such as religion or politics. Especially older people. -
Florida woman argues her unborn baby should be released from jail
Berkshire replied to Scott's topic in World News
Yeah, but if the state of Florida sees the fetus as a person, then that person is being unlawfully detained. The kid didn't murder anybody! -
MTG has no interest in governing or solving America's problems. She has no solutions. All she ever does is attack the POTUS and the Dems. That's what she does. That's ALL she does.

It's pretty clear that Trump doesn't respect his base. Why else would he endlessly lie to them? Either that or he thinks they're incredibly stupid and would believe every word he says.
