FAA’s Diversity Policies Under Fire After Deadly Air Collision
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yes it IS Trump's fault. If he said nothing, then the media would have nothing to say about him. I can remember this old saying, The full saying is, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt," which is often attributed to Abraham Lincoln, meaning that sometimes it's better to stay silent even if it makes you seem uninformed rather than speak and potentially reveal a lack of knowledge. -
And what song did you mention? There are at least 3 versions of the song plus another going back to 1844. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Dandy_(song) "Jim Dandy" (sometimes known as "Jim Dandy to the Rescue") is a song written by Lincoln Chase, and was first recorded by American R&B singer LaVern Baker on December 21, 1955.[1] It reached the top of the R&B chart[2] and #17 on the pop charts in the United States. The song is about a man (Jim Dandy) who rescues women from improbable or impossible predicaments.[2] It proved popular enough that Chase wrote a second song for Baker entitled "Jim Dandy Got Married."[2] The American English term jim-dandy for an outstanding person or thing predates the song; first attested in 1844, it may itself come from the title of an old song, "Dandy Jim of Caroline". Other recorded versions Ann-Margret recorded a version on her 1962 album The Vivacious One.[11] The song is the B-side to James Reyne's 1989 single, "One More River".[12] https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/dictionary/english/jim-dandy#:~:text=Definition of 'jim-dandy'&text=1.,excellent%3B very pleasing jim-dandy (ˈdʒɪmˈdændi) US, Informal, Obsolete noun 1. an excellent or very pleasing person or thing adjective 2. excellent; very pleasing Webster’s New World College Dictionary, 4th Edition. SOP for Trump. After all he lied over 30,000 times when he was in charge the last time. Why would he change now? Leopards don't change their spots in their lifetime. -

Who has no idea of the qualifications needed and required to be an ATC controller. Would it be OK with you if the local road sweeper or dog catcher came up with the same view? After all they are not qualified either. -

It does not bother me in the slightest if the pilot or co-pilot is male or female, as long as that person is fully qualified on the aircraft type. This is an AI overview The number of female airline pilots is growing, but they still make up a small percentage of all airline pilots. United States: In 2022, 4.9% of airline pilots in the United States were women, which is an increase from 3.3% in 2002. Globally: Women make up between 4% and 6% of airline pilots. India: India has the highest percentage of female pilots in the world, with 15% of pilots being female. Explanation The number of women with FAA student pilot certificates increased from 11.7% in 2002 to 15% in 2022. The number of women with FAA airline pilot certificates increased by 71% from 2002 to 2022. The number of women with licenses to fly commercial airliners increased by 45% from 2008 to 2022. CAPA - Centre for Aviation Show all https://www.airwaysmag.com/legacy-posts/country-highest-female-pilots DALLAS — For years, women have broken barriers and made an impact in occupations that were once deemed to be the sole domain of men. One such field is commercial aviation. While the number of female pilots has been steadily growing over the past few decades, there are still fairly few women who hold Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL) across the globe. According to the International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA) 2021 study, less than 6% of pilots worldwide are women. In the lead-up to International Women's Day, Air India (AI), Air India Express (IX), and AirAsia India (I5) have flown 90 all-woman crew flights since March 1. The number 90 was chosen in honor of the 90th anniversary of JRD Tata's first commercial flight, according to a statement released by the group. There are some countries where the number of female commercial pilots is higher than others. India takes the top spot, with more than twice the global average of women pilots. Today, we will scour the country with the highest number of female commercial pilots and explore what aspects contribute to this trend. As per recent statistics, there are over 1,200 female pilots in India, and around 10% of them are commercial pilots. This figure may not seem very high, but it is significant when compared to other countries. In the United States, only around 5% of commercial pilots are women, which is less than the international average. There is more information in the link/ -
They must be very well hidden then, For every transaction between Wise and Bangkok Bank, Wise tell me what it will cost, how long it will take and what the forex rate will be, and they are spot on every time. I also get a better rate than the official mid rate forex that BKK quote on their official forex rate website (which has been down for the last 2 or 3 days). I do a daily forex rate check Between KBank, BKK bank, Wise and XE and though XE is better sometimes, Wise wins out in the long term.

I doubt that the army has the power to interfere any more, especially as the majority of the troops in Bangkok are now under the control of the Kings Guards, and their loyalty is to a much higher person, than a bunch of generals. -

Thais have had a lot of those over the years. They are normally known as illegal military coups. If there is another one it will depend on the person under the golden umbrella. The King's Guards now control the military power in Bangkok, and not the normal army generals and their loyalty is not so much to the military, but elsewhere. -

Taking a country by force is not that easy. To keep it by force is a lot harder, as you will probably need 4 troops for every local to cover 24/7/365. -

Now look at the people Trump has appointed and what qualifications they hold to do the jobs that they have been appointed to do. You even have a convicted felon, convicted sex offender and serial liar appointed as POTUS.- 131 replies

Good idea. Blame anybody else except the actual people involved. That always works especially when the investigation has not been completed yet. Do YOU personally have ANY idea why it happened? That is why there is an investigation. Both you and Trump need to keep quiet, until the investigation, carried out by people with far more knowledge has been completed. -
Neither can I.

Also a predictable response from the yes men that Trump has employed. None of them could ever do the ATC controllers job anyway. They are not competent enough and only pander to what they believe that their dear leader wants them to believe. I watch sadly as the once great world leader, the USA, is losing the confidence and influence of the rest of the world.

So if he wants the USA to be isolationist, why does he keep saying that he will end the war in Gaza and the Ukraine in a day? Why does he insist that he will take/buy Greenland, take the Panama Canal and make Canada a state of the USA? -
I don't honestly think that they are dumb. It is the politicians who are in charge that are the dumb ones.
