Covid, smodid! Just saw live feed of Biden getting on his plane after being diagnosed with "covid" and he wasn't wearing a mask, despite passing in close proximity to military types at the boarding steps that were not wearing masks. He doesn't care about infecting others, or he's not really sick????? He looks really, really old. Despite not being sick enough to need a stretcher, he just does not look presidential at all. The optics on this are going to be catastrophic for his campaign. Some talking head bigging up Harris- good luck with that.

Given the lack of any posted proof of any of that I can only say that I wish it were true. If it were, it would give me some hope that the west isn't going to collapse in whatever remains of my lifetime. The only fly in your ointment is Trump's even more sycophantic support of israel than Biden's.

Biden just cancelled his Las Vegas campaign appearance due to "covid" so perhaps the fix is already in, and someone ( Harris? ) will take over. I hope it's Harris as I want to see her humiliated in November. On the latest vdo of Biden, he looks like a very old man, and definitely not a potential POTUS. IMO the US deserves Trump, given their wars all over the place.

Just heard on Al Jazeera that Biden cancelled his appearance at a campaign stop in Las Vegas due to, get this, "covid"! Cue my suspicion that it's a rather convenient time for him to have a disease that excuses him from live appearances indefinitely. Perhaps he'll be well enough to address the nation from his sick bed though. Too soon to give a link as it's a live feed from the Al Jazeera news.

The political landscape remains challenging, with Democrats facing a divided Senate and a Republican-controlled House of Representatives, making any significant judicial reforms impossible to pass. Fixed it. Someone more knowledgeable than I on it can say if it needs a constitutional amendment, but even without such it would cause outrage if it was changed by a minimal majority. Sounds more like the Biden campaign clutching at the proverbial straw on their way to a humiliating defeat, than a serious proposal.

Just heard on Al Jazeera that the US military is pulling the plug on the floating pier fiasco. Complete waste of 230 million US $. IMO it was also a waste of time given Biden could have forced netanyahu to open the land borders. One hopes that the US military never has to build another floating pier if they are so incapable of doing so. They did better on D Day. If that was now- "sorry, but you'll have to cancel the invasion of Europe as the pier floated away in a rough sea".

I always went train if I could. I wasn't in LOS to travel in a tube and miss out on the scenery. The day time sprinter was awful though. Hopefully replaced by a decent train now.

Take a decent bus, Not one of the tourist buses though. Government bus. Can get them 3 abreast ( 2 on one side ) and lie almost flat.

Was that Queen Hotel by any chance? I always stayed there if I was waiting for a train. Even if I didn't sleep there it was better than hanging around the station for hours and it had internet. Cheap too. Every train journey was an adventure.

That was why it was a good idea to take your own food. At stations there were hawkers selling food too.

Can't agree with that. For a start there was always a door between seats and wash area. That was on second class sleeper, so your carriage may have been different.
