Whatever my life may be, boring it is not and I have no void to fill. I oppose oppression and bullying whomever is doing it. I used to support israel about 30 years ago, then as I learned about the illegal occupation and oppression of Palestinians I became opposed to israeli illegal occupation, land theft and collective punishment. Prior to October 7 I didn't post on the very few israeli/ Palestinian threads because of the personal attacks that inevitably followed. I think the last thread before October 7 had zero responses. Different now though.

They have nothing but the "race" card to play. Trying to defend over 7,000 dead children is somewhat impossible, IMO.

On that small part of your post I reluctantly agree. Trump's position on israel is the only area that I fundamentally disagree with. Do you actually think Biden is going to make netanyahu stop? I do not. IMO he's just lying when he and his staff claim to be "doing everything possible" to make israel stop blowing up women and children. If he wanted to he could have done so 2 months ago, and it's only the threat to his re election that makes him give lip service to restraint.

In Thailand it was chips, with mayo. Never had that before- the mayo on them that is. When one of the fast food places( forget name ) places sold hot dogs in a bread roll with Heinz hot dog relish, that was the king of snacks for me. Then they stopped selling the hot dogs and can't even get Heinz hot dog relish any more. Oops, forgot the salapows. Loved them with BBQ sauce. Place in the Thai food court in the basement of Central Airport in Chiang Mai sold the best ones I ever had.

Try the Darkside in Pattaya. They have gated communities. I liked that Thailand doesn't really cater for farangs that don't like Thais, unless extremely rich, in which case they could probably buy an island ( after setting up a company of course ).

His much vaunted "counter offensive" with German tanks, achieved nothing but a few villages. It's like something out of Haig's WW1 offensives where a few yards were touted as a great victory. One needs to look at history to understand Russia's war methods. They defeated the far better German war machine in Barbarossa though at a cost of about 40 million dead Russians, according to one book I read about it.

No, just love sugar, yummy. I used to eat sugar in vast quantities. Enjoyed the 70 years I had before pre diabetes ended the sugar feast. If I could go back I wouldn't change a thing about that ( plenty of other things I'd change but not sugar- love the stuff. The Saudis regarded it as a gift from God and consumed it in huge quantities- gave them diabetes and dental caries.Not unusual for them to put 6 teaspoons of sugar in tea or coffee ).

Depends if the OP means sweetened, or non sweetened. I used to suck down sweetened straight out of the can, but only the NZ version ( real milk ). The version in a Thai can was inferior. Only gave it up as got pre diabetes. Had to give up all life's little culinary treats then. Getting old sucks greatly.

I did indeed. Breakfast was a festive banana. Lunch was festive spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce, yummy, and a long lie down after. I'm having a festive Christmas pudding with caramel sauce after I finish on here. I'm all festivaled out. Already looking forward to next years festive bash.

polls show even a high % of republicans are in favor of the current ruling. Soooo a high proportion of republicans are in favour of using judicial interference in politics. That doesn't seem very democratic. How would it be if every state did that? Only left one party to vote for? What if, shock horror, a state supreme court threw the democrats off the ballot?

Erdogan is still there. I guess that now the US has diverted the munitions to israel and the GOP are not OK with sending more money that way, things have changed somewhat. Certainly less posts on this subforum though. I guess it got a bit boring now the orcs are not losing any more.
