The final nail has been predicted for decades, LOL. They were finding it hard to get attractive girls to work in Pattaya bars prior to covid, so nothing new there. I even saw fat girls on stage- the horror, the horror. The bar industry may end up more like Hua Hin or Chiang Mai, but IMO the sex industry is still alive and thriving on line. The girls may not work in a Pattaya bar, but likely they will meet the customer at the airport and stay in Pattaya- I doubt any customers want to go stay in her village.

You could join the other foreign volunteers if you wanted. Don't need to be Ukrainian. Ukraine will not cease to exist if they lose, just under different masters. Anyway, IMO Putin does not want all of the Ukraine; just the eastern part, and the rest forbidden to join NATO.

I'm one of the posters that suggested that, and yes, when faced with death and destruction as has happened, what would be preferable- resist and die, or live under Russian domination just like they did prior to becoming independent? If the dead could speak, which would they prefer?

Now, 50 years from now or even longer, IMO China is the next superpower to dominate the world. They are willing to play the long game, unlike us westerners that want everything NOW.

PS IMO it's easy to be a strong man far away from the fighting, so long as other people are dying. Perhaps if he'd been more willing to negotiate, no one would have had to die and cities would not be in ruins.

Sadly, IMO we don't have any strong leaders around any more. There's not one current leader I'd willingly follow into war.

Did anyone actually believe that Russia was only on "exercise"? If they did, they must have been a bit gullible IMO. I certainly did not believe it was only an exercise, so more clever people than I in important positions must have known it too. However, pretending that it was a surprise must have helped in the propaganda war.

Posts like this are why I can't be bothered with this thread any more. If you don't understand why insulting those with an opposing viewpoint isn't a good idea, it's your loss when you end up only talking to a small clique with similar ideas. BTW, your "side" are just as bad for not supporting their claims, and when I called one out on it he told me that I should do the research.

Where I live? Not in a million years. The women here scare the <deleted> out of me they are so PC, and a good looking one would be of an age that she would not even give me a second glance. I have no idea why I'd try with an unattractive woman with baggage. I miss Thailand more than you could imagine.

Others, just repeat their mistakes. Indeed. Getting divorced once is unfortunate, twice is a mistake, but three times or more is just inexcusable IMO. I gave it a good try with one long term partner and one marriage, but lesson learned, and never again.
