You are of course right and Ελεύθερος to your opinion. But the question is, or should be . Why were there more more religious people back then , And more Atheists now ? IMO it is that back then they were not as free as we are now to express their true opinion. We all know what happened to Socrates , who had trouble keeping his mouth shut. So Atheists were under-represented then. As I am sure now they are over-represented because, like registered politically independents , many Atheists , are because they think it makes them sound intelligent. That's why they take every opportunity to tell people that they are atheists. Which is why I would never tell people I am an Atheist I believe the fact that I am an Atheist is no ones business , My Atheism is a personal matter , I always try to keep my Atheism to myself Not to take any chances , in case you missed it I am an atheist ????

What I did and do is I scan documents and keep them in a document file in my computer and also on a USB memory stick. Now that i think of it , I need to find where it is, and update it. I have a bunch of documents that I have in my computer but not the USB stick. I was told to store them on the cloud but I am not sure I trust the security.

Some of them can be such A-holls . I am lucky that here in Khon Kaen we have a good bunch, but I hear horror stories from other places, If you had a marriage certificate, obviously you had permission to marry from the home country. Yea other also told me, I thought that people choose retirement over visa because it was easier and you did not have home visits and such. Apparently it is easier for you but not for the visit reason since you still get them even with a retirement visa. Your situation sounds strange , because we were married outside Thailand, and we also registered our marriage here , If I remember correctly that was the Kor 2 and we were issued a Thai marriage certificate, I believe that's the Kor 3. (it's been a while) and we had no problem. Are you sure you understood correctly, If I did not have my wife who speaks fluent English and Thai I would be lost. Did you get married here or back at your home country? I really don't remember exactly , but I think when we got married back in the states(13 years ago) My wife had to provide an "Affirmation of Freedom to Marry " some sort of a document that she was not married in Thailand and was free to marry me, I guess the same would apply if married here at which point you will have to provide some sort of a document that you are not married back home and that you are free to marry. But if you had both the Kor2 and kor3 the assumption should had been made that you provided these documents to the Amphure that issued the marriage certificate, otherwise they would have not. and they should have a copy. As I said if I did not have my wife I would be totally lost. Immigration can get very strange here depending which way the wind blows. Sorry to hear about your problems , sucks to have to lay out 800K when you are married. Did you talk to an Agent to see if they can resolve this situation for you?

Up here in Khon Kaen it also rains every night for the past couple of weeks, but during the day is not too bad. A bit cloudy, which IMO is good because it cools things down. But you are right it's a hit or miss season. Don't drive too far , not fun driving in the rain, at least for me.

No first hand experience, We were also thinking of taking a ride to Ko Chang, and were concerned about the rain, so we asked a friend who drives there all the time and she said that it rains but at night. I have the same problem with logging on to my Social Security account where they ask to text me a security number. I resolved that problem by Using My sister's address and telephone on file , and when I log on to my account I have my sister on FB messenger and she texts me the code. Also I use Venmo to transfer money to my daughter on my laptop and often it would not work unless I use a VPN signed in to a US server , then it works fine. If you have a VPN in your phone try that next time , maybe it will work.Probably not but you never know. I have called Social Security several times with Skype with never a problem but never IRA, so I don't really know .

Same here. I get the unlimited plan because I have foamily all over the world, Three sisters al in different countrie, and boy do they love to talk. Sometimes we talk for hours. Same with calling banks or goverment. sometimes they have you on hold listening to crappy music for an eternity.
