It is not entirely their fault. There are vested interests with deep pockets and a concerted effort to manufacture consent. to delay implementation of clean energy policies. The global fossil fuels market size was valued at USD 7.2 trillion in 2022 and is expected to reach around USD 11.78 trillion by 2032. Every years that they delay it is additional trillions in profit. We have seen similar efforts with the tobacco industry in the past. Interesting Book and documentary by Noam Chomsky if you are interested " Manufacturing Consent" and fow special interests muddy the waters and influence a segment of the population to buy their narrative.

You might be right but What else can you do? IMO three choices, There might be others I dont know. Lay your cards on the table and hope the IO is reasonable. I have only done extensions in khon kaen and I find them very reasonable, but I dont know about other locations, I guess you might have to consider past IO performance in your area, . Pay an agent. Or fly out of the country and start new. My down the street neighbor who also had a similar issue, did just that. Went to Ventien , had a nice vocation a couple of days, came back and started over. He was doing the income option, and had his monthly check automatically deposited. As he explained to me , because of the length of the month, one month he got two checks, His check at the beginning of the month, and at the end of the month he also got the next month's check. It should have been easy to see that he had 12 checks that year m but his IO did not want to hear it. So you might be right. TIT

How would I know, I have never been there not have I ever met anyone who came back to tell me. One thing I know, I read that if muslim men die after they go to heaven they get an arguable number of virgins. So the question I alway had is . What happens after they are not virgins anymore, do you trade them in for new virgine ones? As to the question of this thread, Haven can not be very pleasant for virgin women , I mean have you seen some of those guys. It will certainly not be heaven for the the virgins, in fact one might argue it would be hell. So does it require for a woman to lose her virginity so that she goes to heaven? Come to think of it , it might be a good argument to use when trying to get into a virgins pants. So in occlusion ,ipso facto, and abra cadabra ........ errr what was I talking about again ? Oh now i remember what I wanted to ask. What happens to all those who went to hell for sins the church no longer considers to be a sin. Do you send them to heaven with an apology? and can they sue Saint Peter for damages?

No. It's all spelled out in the Technical Explanation: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-trty/thaitech.pdf Thank you so much, this certainly clarifies things. "Paragraph 1 provides that private pensions and other similar remuneration paid in consideration of past employment are generally taxable only in the residence State of the recipient. It is understood that the rules of this paragraph apply even if the payee of the pension is not the person who performed the past employment. For example, a pension paid to a surviving spouse who is a resident of Thailand would be exempt from tax by the United States on the same basis as if the right to the pension had been earned directly by the surviving spouse " it also provides additional information concerning my wife who after my passing (a long time from now I hope ) ,will continue getting 80% of my private pension. But it might be a little tricky where she is taxed as she is dual citizen (US/Thai). But regrades, I appreciate you taking the time to provide me with that link , it sure takes a load off of my mind. .

Thank you for that clarification Our IO in Khon Kaen is also very reasonable and helpful , unlike some of the horror stories that I read from others at other locations, it is actuary a pleasure to work with them here,I bet they would also be acomonationg. I will give them a call and ask. I am also in the same mindframe as you, who knows what else they will come up in the next month, especially in view of the new tax situation, So I better get while the getting is good,

If you do it 45 days early , does it start 45 days earlier which would mean that you lose about a month or does it start when the current one expires? Would you happen to know? Because if I would also like to do it as early as it is avowed, who knows what the Thai goverment will come up with in 45 days .

"CLE 20 Pensions and Social Security Payments 1. Subject to the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 21 (Government Service), pensions and other similar remuneration paid to a resident of a Contracting State in consideration of past employment shall be taxable only in that State " If I understand this correctly not only SSI pensions but all pensions. Am I correct in this?

I speak from experience having had exactly the same issue. as I said earlier The first thing you need to do is check your in the morning at home , don't wait until you go to the doctors office because the act of going to the doctors office could rase your BP to safe levels. But there are other issues that could be causing your condition. In my case it turned out that all of a sudden I started experiencing PVC , no not the plastic LOL Premature ventricular contractions , a simple medication regimen solved that problem immediately , now we cut my med to half with no reappearance of the PVC issue , and at my next follow up. we will reduced again to every other day and if I still don't experience PVC episodes we will eliminate it and wait to see ib the issues returns, if it does i will go back on the med at the lowest dosage that controlled it. The point is that you need to see a doctor It could be something different, before this occurred to me I had never heard of PVC. . Doctor visits are very inexpensive here in Thailand there is no reason not to.

Korea bans killing and eating Dogs - will Thailand follow?
sirineou replied to kwilco's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
And what is that supposed to mean? The Point of this Thread as stated in the OP and the article is that : "South Korea passes bill banning production and sale of dog meat" and the Thesis stated in the title "Korea bans killing and eating Dogs - will Thailand follow? " This is wrong ! in fact the opposite is true since Thailand has made the act illegal 9 years ago. In that respect Thailand leads . Now we want to change gears and as your post implies , "Yes but Thailand does not enforce it as good as Korea " This is also an invalid opinion since Korea has no record of enforcement on this issue and thus it is impossible to form such opinion. -
Korea bans killing and eating Dogs - will Thailand follow?

Before one starts such a Thread , it would be IMO a good ides to google the subject matter, So Google "Is eating dogs illegal in Thailand" " The eating of dogs and cats in Thailand is ILLEGAL.This law was brought about by the lobbying of the Soi Dog Foundation based in Phuket, Thailand. If you are aware of anyone serving dog or cat in restaurants (or privately), you should inform the Thai police. Please see the SoiDog website for details" https://www.tripadvisor.com/FAQ_Answers-g293920-d10125855-t3287142-Do_they_eat_dogs_in_Thailand_I_want_to_go_to.html#:~:text=The eating of dogs and,the SoiDog website for details.- 69 replies

According to the Thai consulate " Entering the Kingdom through air land/sea/air border checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Singapore who may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year." https://thaiconsulatela.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/visa-exemption-and-visa-on-arrival-to-thailand I have no personal experience in the matter as I have multiple re-entries from my extension to stay .

I am not an expert also. And I am sure a determined thief could defeat them , like you said they could easily cut the zipper with a pair of box-cutters. There there IMO to deter the casual thief. and make it difficult enough so that they would move on to an easier target. Personally I never put anything of value (if I can help it) in a checked in bag. TSA locks are locks that the TSA has the codes or pass-key to open for inspection. Last summer traveling to Greece the wife had put a non TSA lock on one of the suitcases , when we got the lagage , there was a note saying "This bag has been opened for inspection" and the lock was cut.

Oh ok you are not the one who originally reacted to my post. you are one who interrupted my conversation with someone else to tell me what you thought. IMO that's kind of creepie and definitely rude. Are you a rude person my man. Or are you some kind of stoner. Are stones now? You sound like you are.
