Dr recommendation for prostate radiation and cost
orang37 replied to sidjameson's topic in Health and Medicine
Ask your GP for referrals to radiation oncologists with good prostate cancer experience in your area. Costs? That's going to depend heavily on your insurance and the specific treatment plan. -
How much do you pay for health insurance?
orang37 replied to rudi49jr's topic in Insurance in Thailand
My husband and I pay £57 each for our insurance, and £21 for our child. And it's premium insurance at Axa. After I had some emergency cases with health and we used medical insurance, I understood how important it really is. There are different insurance plans, you can find a broker here and more information: https://premierpmi.co.uk/private-health-insurance-for-children/ -
I think you shouldn't save on insurance, especially when you already reach an age with more health-related risks. For my mom (she is 75 years old) I chose an insurance that includes more things, but at an affordable price. We contacted a broker who deals with insurance and he chose us. You can look here what they propose: https://premierpmi.co.uk/family-health-insurance/

Rent a car in the U.S. with a Thailand driver's licence?
orang37 replied to JTXR's topic in Home Country Forum
Yes, you can rent a car in the U.S. with a Thailand driver’s license. Most rental companies were fine with it, having an IDP made things way smoother. Some rental desks were a bit confused at first, but showing the IDP cleared up any questions since it translates your license info. When I was in South Florida, I rented from https://realcar.miami/locations/palm-beach. I used my foreign license and my IDP, and the process was super easy. They just checked to make sure the names on my passport, license, and credit card all matched. -
Best to order online. I ordered online and it arrived in about 3 weeks. But it was worth the wait. I bought the Taj Mahal, it looks splendid. I'm 35 years old and I made this lego set in 2 days) my wife laughs at me, but I said that maybe in a few years we will become millionaires thanks to my lego collections hah))) I read here: https://mogobuy.com/blog/lego_rwrwz/, that lego can really be sold at a high price ...

When I was looking for health insurance for my business, I found that exploring international options can be really helpful, especially if you're spending time outside your home country. I needed a plan that covered my team abroad, so I looked into group insurance, which sometimes offers better rates and flexibility than individual plans. I ended up working with https://www.taylorbenefitsinsurance.com/ for our group coverage. They helped me understand different plan options and navigate coverage needs, which made the whole process way less stressful. It might be worth checking them out for reliable options if you’re considering insurance while abroad.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) medication availability
orang37 replied to Thai Chi's topic in Health and Medicine
Dutasteride and Tamsulosin are available in Thailand, with generics being quite common. For example, generic Dutasteride can cost around 200-300 THB for a month’s supply, and Tamsulosin is similar in price. -
Yeah, I agree Zenni will help you.

I totally get where you’re coming from—finding real organic food can be a bit of a headache. Personally, I’ve had better luck going to farmer’s markets or checking out local stores like Lemon Farm. They’re usually more transparent about where their stuff comes from, and sometimes you can even visit the farms if you’re curious. It just feels more reliable to me, especially since you can actually ask the sellers about their farming practices instead of just relying on labels.

In Bangkok, I'd recommend checking out Bumrungrad for private care; it’s a bit pricier, but they’re well-known internationally for cancer treatment and have a really solid oncology department. If you’re looking for public options, Siriraj Hospital is one of the best—it’s affordable and known for quality treatment. For Chiang Mai, Maharaj Nakorn (or Suandok) Hospital is a good choice on the public side. I've heard good things about the oncology department there, so it’s worth considering if you’re nearby.

I've been doing yoga for like 8 months, and it's not just for getting stronger, but it’s also got me feeling way more chill and focused. Yoga mixed with Qi Gong could be even better since both focus on breathing and staying centered. Honestly, it might be worth skipping some gym time for the mental clarity! Oh, and I found these things called Qi Coils that are supposed to boost energy healing. They use frequencies to help with stuff like relaxing, focusing, and feeling better overall. They could be cool if you're into Qi Gong or meditation. Here’s a link with more on Qi Coil reviews if you wanna check it out.

Prosthetic leg, expense & how you arrange one?
orang37 replied to rockyysdt's topic in Health and Medicine
My friend had a similar issue with her leg after an accident, and we found that companies like Össur and Endolite make some solid prosthetics that have adjustable lengths and better cushioning, which really helped her comfort. I’d recommend reaching out to local charities or support groups; they often have resources or can point you to places that offer used prosthetics at a lower cost. -
How long can you stand on 1 leg reflects your age
orang37 replied to 3NUMBAS's topic in Health and Medicine
Yeah, I’ve noticed that balancing on one leg gets trickier as you get older! I try to work on my balance with some yoga poses and when I’m out running. -
When I had a tooth issue in Bangkok, I found that smaller, local clinics could be a lot more affordable. I went to Bangkok Smile and was happy with their service—felt way less like a factory than some of the bigger places. It might be worth checking out a few different clinics to see who gives you the best vibe and price.

I'd recommend talking to an immigration lawyer who knows the ins and outs of UK visa stuff, especially since you have a previous marriage to sort out. From what I remember, you usually need to show stable income or savings, and you might not have to park the full £90k in the bank right away. They often want to see it has been there for at least six months, but the rules can vary. Just make sure you keep all your divorce papers organized, especially since it’s a Thai divorce. It can feel overwhelming, but taking it step by step can help make it a bit easier.

Thinking about getting a used Rolex? Be careful! The resale market can be sketchy, and you might end up overpaying for a watch that's not even in good shape. Honestly, it’s better to save up for a brand-new or more trustworthy watch. I wanted a Rolex too, but they’re super pricey. I found some awesome replica watches that look dope and won’t empty your wallet. There's a site I found with good quality replicas at a decent price. If you're down, you can buy it here.

If you wanna activate Windows legally, just grab a legit product key from a trusted seller. Microsoft also has digital licenses if you're upgrading or putting it on a new device. Oh, and I found a site where you can get a cheap Windows 11 Home key. Might save you some cash

Finding a designer who has experience with property management websites and is local to Bangkok can definitely narrow the pool, but it’s good that you have clear specs and a vision for what you need. I had a similar challenge when overhauling a property management site, and it was hard to find someone who could handle the complexity of integrating specific tools. If you’re open to exploring other options, I got help from PBB Design for my project, and they were able to manage complex integrations while staying flexible to my requirements. Even though they aren’t Bangkok-based, they might be able to offer something that fits your needs.

Swimming pool estimate and suggestions for contractors - Pattaya
orang37 replied to Longwood50's topic in Swimming Pool Forum
For a tile skimmer pool in Pattaya, you're probably looking at around 600,000 to 1,000,000 THB, depending on the size and materials used. From my experience, hiring a specialist pool contractor is worth it, and I'd suggest checking out companies like JD Pools or PB Pools. They're well-established in the area. You can always negotiate the price, especially if you're flexible on timelines. As for general advice, take advantage of proper waterproofing and filtration systems to avoid costly issues down the road. Also, if you're considering adding pool safety features, like fencing, you might want to check pool fence phoenix for an idea of secure solutions that can be tailored to your pool setup. Safety should always be a priority. -
You can try checking out local health food stores or farmers' markets; they sometimes have them fresh. If you prefer online, Amazon usually has a decent selection, and I've had good luck with a place called "Kefir Grains" that ships internationally.
