  1. Chaeng Watthana. No other option for you. Make an appoitment here. https://gov.immigration1.queueonline.net/appointment/login.html?v31
  2. Final note, as you may have read Wise has restricted the banks it will/can send to. Although Krungsri is listed on their list of possible banks there is another thread running on here where people are getting transfers rejected to banks on that list. I would highly recommend you make a trial transfer as soon as possible to ensure that you can actually use Wise if you choose to do so for the extension money.
  3. Don't think about letting Barclays send THB. If you use them fine, but send GBP. It will still costs you more than Wise but not so much.
  4. And make sure it's 2 months not 8 weeks! Don't give them anything to play with!
  5. Wise fees will be £105. But the extra fee will be covered by the better exchange rate. Wise right now is 44.24 against Kasikorn TT at 43.73.
  6. Actually just checked the app which now says other banks are 500,000. Recipient bank Maximum per transfer (THB) Bangkok Bank Public Company 2,000,000 Kasikorn Bank 2,000,000 Siam Commercial Bank 1,499,999 Other recipient banks 500,000
  7. Godd point that! Website says; Bangkok Bank Public Company: 2,000,000 Thai baht (THB). Kasikorn Bank: 2,000,000 Thai baht (THB). Siam Commercial Bank: 1,499,999 Thai baht (THB). Other recipient banks: 49,999 Thai baht (THB).
  8. No, I did probably 4 or 5 transfers in the 6 months before applying. I originally came in on a tourist visa and subsequently a non-O on a UK trip.
  9. When I did my first extension last year all my transfers to my account were done using Wise from the UK. I always selected "funds for long term stay" as the reason for the transfer but at least for my bank, Kasikorn, it makes no difference to how they show on the statement, all transfers, irrespective of reason, show up as international (I'm not entirely sure that's even important).
  10. Nasi Goreng is on the list, number 11 i think
  11. Nope, he didn't need to check your code because he can see on his system that you've done it. If you hadn't you'd have been sent away to get it done. Random codes will not work.
  12. Sambal Goreng is a thing. As is Nasi Goreng, but not the same thing.
  13. Yes, strange that, it's obviously a thing there.....
  14. Anything less than 12 months and your extension will be only until the expiry date.
  15. No you cannot connect a Thai bank account. Where are you telling it you live/have residence? You will need to prove your residency in that country to set it up.
  16. They don't want the hassle, there's no money to be made from it. Better let the destination deal with it. As has been reported many time lately with Brits carting massive bags of the stuff to the UK.

  18. Wise is not a US thing. Where are you? Wise almost certainly operates there. Go to their website. So easy.

Bizarre thread. Anyone got anything useful to tell the OP, he must be wondering why he bothered.
  20. Well you couldn't add it today....did you try to send money to it?
  21. That link takes you to... https://secure.dwp.gov.uk/contact-the-international-pension-centre/contact-form
  22. Guess it's the consistent inconsistency we get used to. I didn't show a boarding pass either.
  23. A current account has a cheque book. I don't think you want that. You just want another savings account. I use Kasikorn, 1 account for immigration, 1 for daily use. Are you working? You'll need to be to get a real credit card, otherwise the best offer will likely be a card with a limit dictated by a locked deposit amount.
  24. I arrived on Monday. Of course I'd already done the TDAC. Gave only passport, didn't show QR or anything related to the TDAC. No problems. So the need to show anything is unnecessary as they can see if you've done it on their system.
