It has been recently reported on here that a renewal from Thailand took only 3 weeks. However, that is only one instance and cannot be taken as the norm. Nor is there any way to influence or speed up the processing time. If you apply through VFS you do retain your old passport and whilst you are not supposed to travel on it after applying in practice you could do so if really needed, although I'm not sure where you would want to go with it. Your best option is of course to pop back to the UK and renew it there, can be done in a day if necessary.

My money is on you having bought exactly the opposite of what you wanted. Start again.

I reckon it'll be the same at the UK, i.e. it's cancelled as soon as the application is received. However, only the Aus immigration will know that so it'll be fine for travel anywhere else, although not much help in your case. https://www.passports.gov.au/passport-care/passport-validity-and-foreign-visas#:~:text=Can I use my current,Australia using the expiring passport.

To which bank? I send to Kasikorn and no matter what I use as the purpose the bank book only ever shows "TRN". However if I download a statement in Thai the entry is described as "รับเงินธุรกรรม ตปท." ("Receive money from overseas transactions") and/or "ธุรกรรมต่างประเทศ" ("Foreign Transactions") - (translations by Google). The English version of the statement says "Trade Finance Deposit".

Cheapest U.K. SIM card for OTP overseas

Giffgaff. Works perfectly. If it is the absolute cheapest who knows but at less than £1/year who cares. And if/when you go to the UK it's very easy to buy the data/call time you need for the trip -

Yes, you can get one more 90 day entry. The "visit wife" extension on that will be 60 days, not 90, provided you didn't already have one on that visa. -
I think you're right. He said "I want to extend the contract 1 year". She said "OK".

Confirmation of legal residence in the UK
Upnotover replied to Chetzee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Indeed. Let's hope that doesn't apply to the fine folks at the Embassy.....from their website; Document that can verify applicant's current residency (Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency.) - Applicants are requested to submit their local utility bills eg. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement, pension statement. -

They also sent an email asking for the following in addition to the documents requested on the e-visa website; Other request documents: - Flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand -

I used a recent gas bill, awaiting outcome. Previously I also used a passport copy, albeit for a tourist visa but same requirement. -
I think you have answered your own question. You have broken the agreement you made, it seems reasonable she does not repay your deposit. If you also want to try not paying the final month you want to stay good luck with that, you might find yourself locked out.

I did 2 of these in December, one for me and one for my GF. Both applications were approved within 3 or 4 days. VFS asked for additional documents in both cases which I emailed to them. At the appointment there were still some minor issues with copies not being exactly as they would like, but the IO staff did the amended copies themselves, no need to go off looking for a copy shop. As for the appointments mine took a little over 40 minutes largely due to some chaotic/random issuing of queue numbers, the GF was in and out in 15 minutes. I was more than happy with the whole process and the extra THB500 is worth paying for the hassle free appointment and speed.

I thought the same but see another thread running about the METV from London where financial evidence is not being asked for of late. -

Thai Airways: 10 kg extra checked baggage for silver members?

Well, it's the same/similar app but mine is Android. I click top left to log in, actually it always logs me in automatically but I just logged out and back in to check. It may not be a perfect app but is does do what you were looking for, at least it does if you can log in to it.
