    I give up. "Renew a 5 year licence", That's what I did and that's what I got.

    https://www.dlt.go.th/en/two-year-license. It's not the easiest website to navigate but eventually you'll find the right page.

    No I don't think luck was part of it. I had to do exactly what the DLT website states for licences expired 3+ years. Perhaps it was you that was unlucky.

    I did exactly what he needs to do in September last year. Old 5 year licence was 4 years expired. Did the theory and practical tests. 5 year licence in my pocket.

    You'll get a 5 year licence but you'll have to do the theory and practical tests. I did this last year.

    That is the long term parking. 140/day. Short term is still 250 (I think).

    Thanks for all the replies. I think my conclusion is that I'm OK with no further contributions. Exactly why I needed 33 years is somewhat of a mystery but I think it is because my 31 years of employee NI contributions were all paid under the old system, partially contracted out.

    Yes. But that is the point. I haven't contributed since 2022 and don't want to!

    Yes it did that before, not now And I did add those 2 years. But it never says anything about future contributions.
