  1. Festive drinks at midday, comparing xmas jumpers, etc. 3pm a full on pub lunch with "all the trimmings". Kip. Midnight mass somewhere on Soi 4.
  2. Surprised the embassy didn't provide them a photo of a current UK passport rather than one phased out over 4 years ago.
  3. If you live here, as it seems the OP does, why would you cling to the past? What would be the benefit?
  4. You are not renewing your visa. Presumably you mean your extension of stay? 30 days before and none after, as advised.
  5. That's 11. And we all know what 12 is.
  6. Seem to be a bit of a thing there at the moment.
  7. Savannakhet will be new to the e-visa system and not all consulates apply the same rules. For example Hanoi has also recently joined and does have the requirement (see below). As nobody has done it yet it is hard to predict. "3.5 Evidence of adequate finance: evidence of finance of at least THB 400,000.- or equivalent in other currencies for the past two months. "
  8. The app allows you to change phone number. It will require verification but it appears it can be done by email.
  9. CW with an appointment. Queue number called exactly at the appointment time. 2 minutes to process. Excellent service all round.
  10. Luck. I guess not all offices apply the same rules. I also got mine rejected (CW).
  11. You watch the video in several sections. At the end of each there is a question to make sure you are still awake.
  12. Not really recently but I did use a bank statement to renew some years ago. No reason why that should not be accepted.
  13. You cannot apply that early, I think it's only possible 3 months before expiry. However, you can renew up to 1 year after it expires. And whenever you renew it in that year you will get 5 years+ validity - it will run until your next birthday 5 years later so can actually get nearly 6 years if you time it right.
  14. Would have been just as effective as the 10 passenger one.
  15. Wishful thinking it appears, misplaced also.
  16. I'm pretty sure you can't use Wise to send THB from a Thai account. At least you have an alternative.
  17. There was a copy of an email from KBank earlier in this thread. It said their email was going to anyone who hadn't already completed these forms, i.e. when opening their accounts. I did, 2011 and 2024. So I haven't had the mail nor do I expect it.
  18. Sending from where? If not Thailand then ought to be many options. I used to use WU from the UK. But if trying to send from a Thai account may be less easy.
  19. You are completely right. As one who suffered a GI bleed through a burst stomach ulcer and subsequently lost 50% of my blood I can attest to what can happen. Recovered well, stopped drinking, exercised, good diet and never felt better. Unfortunately 2 years after moved to Bangkok. Time will tell.
  20. It's confusing when you ask someone a question about their circumstances and someone else replies with theirs.
  21. That's the actress. And they couldn't, google her and you'll see.
  22. If doing so I'd be inclined to include it in the same format as KBank does when sending emails out, i.e. "xxx-x-x1234-x"
  23. I'm waiting to see what the nice people at immigration decide is needed for extensions, (yes I know you can bounce every 180 days to avoid them).
