  1. You cannot do the application online for a extension based upon marriage. It is not on the list of extension that can do it.
  2. A extension of your permit to stay done by a TM7 form. For a visa applied for at immigration it is called. A permit to say is what you get when entering the country with a visa or visa exempt. Same after applying for a visa at immigration.
  3. Any single visa is only good for one entry to the country and becomes invalid on the day you use it for entry the country. The allowed stay from it starts from moment the stamp is done in your passport. Same for the non-o visa issued at immigration is the same way and it states it is only valid for the day it issued.
  4. Wrong forum. Moved to the Thailand Motor Discussion
  5. You get a visa stamp that states non-o on it that is only valid for the day it is issued and a entry stamp starting a 90 day stay in the country on that day,
  6. A TM86 form is used to change a tourist visa entry to a=non immigrant via. A TM87 form is used to apply for a non immigrant visa if you have a visa exempt entry. List of the categories of non immigrant that can be changed to applied for and by clicking on the description the requirements for each category will open as a PDF file. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=2537
  7. You could change the reason for your extension of stay (it is not a visa) from attending a school to a extension of stay based upon marriage marriage to a Thai. You would need 400k baht in the bank on the day your apply for the change. You will need a letter from your school to cancel your current extension stating your last day of attending classes.
  8. I assume you have a extension of stay for OA visa entry based upon retirement. You can change the reason for your extension of stay to one based upon marriage. You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 month. No need for the medial insurance needed for the retirement extension.
  9. Yes it is possible. Nothing related to covid is required.
  10. Bestfor you to sign anything that has both of your names on it.
  11. If have a single or multiple entry non-o visa you can apply for a extension of stay based upon marriage if you have 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months on the day you apply. With a multiple entry visa you could apply for the extension during the last 30 days of any of the 90 days from the visa.
  12. If your permit to stay ends on a day immigration is closed you would not be charged for a one day overstay. In your case you could do it on Monday the 21st without being fined. After that you would be fined for everystay of overstay.
  13. Several posts that were a baiting and bickering session have been removed. Time to end it now or a formal warning will be given.
  14. If you applied for single entry non-o visa at immigration you would have to show the 400k baht in the bank on the day you apply and it only allows one 90 day stay. Then during those 90 days you could apply for a one year extension of stay (it is not a visa) and then the 400k baht would need to be the bank for 2 months. If you want to travel after getting the one year stay you could apply for a single or multiple re-entry permit.
  15. This topic has gone off the rails. This from the latest version of the immigration order for clause 2.22 for extensions based upon retirement. I have seen several posts about people being denied a extension of stay for not meet the above requirements after they applied for their previous extension. That is the reason for immigration wanting proof that the requirements were complied with by showing a updated bank book and/or a one year bank statement.
  16. A off topic post and the expected replies to it have been removed.
  17. You can apply for a 1 year extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage during the last 30 days of the 90 days a non-o visa allows. Many people don't have the funds to apply for a extension of stay or just don't want to deal with immigration.
  18. You can apply for a non-b visa at if you have a visa exempt or tourist visa entry. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/2.FOR-WORKING-AS-TEACHER-NON-B.pdf
  19. If you have a non-b visa you do not need to do cancel your 90 day stay it allows. Immigration does not cancel visas. Just leave the country with paperwork to apply for a new non-b on or before the day you current permit to stay ends. No problem to have your work permit canceled before leaving. You will need a work permit application approval letter at most embassies and consulates to apply for a non-b visa.
