  1. The OA visa entry would never go away so the insurance would still be required if applying for a extension of stay based upon retirement. The only way not to need the insurance is to leave and re-enter the country with a non-o visa.
  2. Moved to the visas for other countries forum,
  3. They would use their Thai passport to get that done. They re not required to leave the UK and they would show their Thai passports to the airline to prove they do not a need a visa to enter Thailand.
  4. What law would that be. Can your provide a link to it. As I have already written immigration will do the extension with a short overstay. I am aware of immigration telling people to overstay to get time for the money to be in the bank. I don't advise people to do it but there are cases where it can happen without any repercussion other than the overstay fine.
  5. That is not a official immigration website. See the requirement on a real immigration website. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1666
  6. That was for retirement. He asked about marriage to a Thai. The requirements for marriage is here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/6.pdf
  7. Immigration will do the exenson after the overstay fine is paid. People have been able to apply for their extensions a few days late.
  8. If you entered the country with a tourist visa or visa exempt you could apply for a non-o visa at immigration. See: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/7-1.pdf
  9. To qualify as fully vaccinated you would need one dose of vaccine. Soruce: https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/content/thailand-pass-faqs-2
  10. Covid 19 insurance is not required to apply for a extension of stay (it is not a visa) at immigration. It is only required for a entry to the country.
  11. I assume you have been on the page of the embassy website. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/notarial-and-documentary-services-guide-for-thailand Some things are done by post now.

  13. You wife and child will use their UK passports to depart the UK. The will register for the Thailand Pass using their Thai passports and everything they do when arriving in Thailand and after that as well.
  14. They have added Immigration division one to the list for for the nationwide online appointment system. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  15. You are correct. It was $100,000 before. "Insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD" From Thailand Pass site. https://tp.consular.go.th/en/plan
  16. Are you living in Bangkok? You have to apply for a extension of stay at the office where you're living. You children's will not need financial proof to apply for extension based upon being a Thai national. There should be no need to have their birth certificates to be translated since they are in English. You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your Thai wife. No financial proof is needed.
  17. It can take several days for approval at some offices. Immigration does not work on weekends so it may of not been that many working days since you did it.
  18. That is not a approval of your report. It only proves it was submitted and accepted. Maybe you will get approval today.
