  2. Not for a non-o visa. That is only for a Non-OA visa. Note that I suggested a nearby embassy or consulate to get the non-o visa.
  3. Not visa or extension related. Moved to the Marriage and Divorce forum.
  4. Proot the 800k baht was transferred from abroad is only required if you are applying for non-o visa for retirement at immigration. Proof is not required for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement.
  5. 1. It was changed to 2 months in March of 2019 in the same order that started the 3 month after requirement. 2. That is not correct. Proof it came from abroad is not required unless applying for a non-o visa at immigration.
  6. That would be a very expensive way to do it. The agent mentioned wants 27k baht to sort things out plus 20k baht for the overstay fine.
  7. He needs to leave the country and pay the fine at on departure from the country. Rather than trying to enter the country visa exempt again he should apply for a non-o visa at a nearby embassy and then apply for a new extension.
  8. Before getting to the point where you have to apply for the extension of stay I suggest you ask them about doing it with only a bank statement to prove the 400k baht has been in the bank for 2 months.
  9. How was he able to enter Myanmar? As far as I know they are not allowing foreigners to enter at border crossings. Evidently they are not doing the border pass that was done before for 500 baht (I think it was that much from memory).
  10. If you have a valid visa to use for entry to the country no return or onward ticket is required. If entering visa exempt the airline can as to see a return or onward ticket out of the country within 30 days of entry.
  11. Since the first of October no vaccination certificate or a negative covid 19 test is required to enter the country.
  12. Not visa or extension related. Moved to the Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
  13. Info is here on the US embassy website. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/
  14. If his wife is Thai she may be able to be his reference to open the account. Or he could get a certificate of residency at immigration that the bank should accept. Did he try opening a account at Bangkok bank?
  15. 1. The 800k baht must be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply. Then for 3 months after the day you apply and then 400k baht until you top up your account to 800k baht again. 2. You can apply early but the 800k baht will need to be in the bank for 2 months when you apply. See number 1 for the amount needed after applying. 3.There is no requirement to prove the 800k baht came from abroad.
  16. A Kor Ror 3 is your marriage certificate. A Kor Ror 2 is the marriage registry you can get from a Amphoe. I have seen no recent report of Savannakhet wanting a Kor Ror 2.
  17. It can be done online by the owner or possessor of the residence after they register to do it online.
  18. Why is she applying in Bangkok. The regional passport offices do not require a appointment. She could do the application now it she did it now at one of them. List is here in Thai. https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/publicservice/19745-สถานที่ให้บริการหนังสือเดินทาง
  19. What crossing do you think is riskey As said you would have to have a Lao visa issued by the Lao embassy or consulate to enter Laos. If already in Laos you could enter Thailand there with a visa for Laos.
  20. This topic appears to of run its course (39 posts in 8 hours). The OP has already got the answers to his question. In most cases using an agent is legal. This topic is now like many other topics about agents. Find one of them.
  21. Ban Laem is good crossing to go to from Bangkok. You go there by van with a visa service. This former sponsor of the forum has a good reputation. https://www.thaivisaservice.com/ Laos would be a longer trip from Bangkok. The crossing to Laos in Nong Khai would be easy to travel to overland or by air visa Udon Thani. By air the crossing at Chong Chom here in Ubon would be good by air and then it is about 90 km to the crossing.
  22. It might depend upon the embassy or consulate you apply for the non-o visa at. The consulate in Savannakhet Laos has accepted a foreign marriage certificate in the past and does not mention the registration at a Amphoe (Kor Ror 22) on their website. https://savannakhet.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-o-visiting-family-member-of-a-thai-nationality-a-sp?page=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453e&menu=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453f The Thai embassy in the US does not mention the marriage has to be registered here. See: https://thaiembdc.org/2020/07/11/foreigners_family/
  23. Where will you be entering Laos. As stated before you cannot enter Laos at that crossing since the do not issue a visa on arrival. You would have to apply for a Lao visa at the embassy or consulate for Laos.
