  1. This is what I do if ever the drain pipe gets blocked with ' mook ' ( snot like jelly ) The trick is not to breath in. Cover end of drain pipe with clean handkerchief , take a deep breath then blow as hard as you can down the pipe. This causes a lot of crap to be blown out the front of your air con so if it is over a bed , remove sheets first and put plastic bags down. This of course is only a temporary fix to remove the blockage. When the pipe does get blocked it's time to have the air con properly cleaned/ serviced at which time you can tell the engineer about the blocked drain pipe.
  2. Things should be the other way around. Taiwan should be claiming China as it's own .
  3. Or just buy a cheap secondhand bicycle and sell it when you leave.
  4. Yes it is. There are a few in the UK also.
  5. Some years ago ( more than 10 ) Honda sold a wave with manual transmission as an option. No need to modify anything. My brother in law next door has got one although the clutch is surprisingly heavy. But that might be just his bike.. They come up on Kaidee or Facebook from time to time. Not so common but definately some out there. It was called the Honda wave Z.
  6. I'd settle for naming and shaming plus photograph of owner , his home and car.
  7. ' Just say no ' doesn't work in Thailand If a Thai woman wants to terminate a relationship she needs to make a very careful plan for her own and others safety.
  8. They just about have enough brain cells to somehow get to Pattaya or Phuket then lights out between the ears and off they go. Talk about family resort Earlier in Soi Buakhao
  9. Too much information.
  10. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Night sight is also right up there.
  11. I used to be dead set against the death penalty when I was in my youth. Now , after a lifetime of reading about pointless killings : ' Mr. Yossaphon, the elder brother, admitted to police that he became angry when he saw the victim’s face for no reason.' I just don't see any use to anyone in a life behind bars for the murderer. He took a young life and should forfeit his own.
  12. Get a bum gun and enjoy the saving.
  13. Lazy to cook lunch today so bought ready meal from Big C. Pad Grapoo moo. 6 months ago 25 baht. Today 49 baht for same amount ? Very naughty. The dtam sang food stall might have gone up a bit but not almost 100% !!
  14. When you ride a motorcycle in Thailand you place your life in someone elses hands. Tragic waste of two young lives. The Russian woman should do time for manslaughter. No excuses.
  15. Moral of the story ..... save yourself the grief and don't overstay.
  16. That might work for those with a pick up. Fortunately, my wife's scooter folds down and will just about fit in the boot of our Vios. We will get it repaired when we are next in Bangkok in December then give it to one of the grandchildren there. I won't buy another one but will get my wife a little Honda Giorno ( old style from Japan )to get around the village.
  17. Yes, so far they haven't decided where they want to move it to.
  18. They were a very usual sight here in lower Petchabun until a few months ago but they are gradually becoming fewer since the one guy who could fix them moved away. For those that have a pick up truck they can load it aboard and drive to wherever it can be repaired in the provincial capitol. Without a means to get it to where it can be repaired .....you are stuffed. Worth pointing out that those three wheelers are usually very heavy on account of the batteries.
  19. And then the nurse arrives for some ' hands-on care '
  20. Only problem with electric scooters and tricycles if you live away from a big city is finding someone who can repair them when they need it. There used to be one engineer serving the whole area hereabouts who used to visit all the retail places to collect repair jobs. He has now moved away and there is no replacement. Hence , to get wifes small scooter repaired I will have to take it to Bangkok next time we are down that way. Talking to an old lady in our local store , she said her sister in Korat has the same problem , and her trike has been off the road for 6 months now. A loving and caring wife is a huge plus if you are confined to a wheelchair. Must be a lot more difficult to be alone to deal with it.
  21. Here's a sample of mine :
