I've had a few bottles of the Dunkel. Although I am not really a beer drinker I prefer dark beer to lager. Verdict, looks ok, nice half inch head of brown foam but taste nothing special . Still a bit fizzy in my opinion and not so smooth. I was in the UK a few months ago and tried a Newcastle Brown to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It was. Manns origan Brown Ale better but finally ended up drinking Hobgoblin Ruby as more readily available. Better than anything in Thailand.

Those opticians are the worst for bumping up the price. A long time ago I was in there looking for some glasses. Their opening price was about 10,000. I smiled and put them back. They quickly said they were having a promotion and would take off 20%. I smiled and declined saying still over my budget. Someone emerged from the back and said todays special and they would take off 50% I headed for the door. As I stepped outside they called after me hopefully ' ok ok....2500 baht sir. I got a similar pair elsewhere for 1700.

That's one good thing about Loy Gratong . It delays , if only by a week , the early onset of Jingle Bells on a loop at the malls. I put up a single string of lights on the tree next to our balcony since the wifes youngest sister always comes home for new years holiday so they sort of give her a holiday welcome. However this year there the finches have built a nest there as I was slow in cleaning out there nesting boxes from last year so the lights might not get a showing this year. Yes. I previously passed this test with similar result as yours. Probably why the woman doing the tests was puzzled that all those of us that had just failed got the sticks to align so exactly.

When I last renewed my five year licence , there were 7 of us who failed the proximity test ! We were close but no ciger. The woman in charge of the test was insistant the sticks must line up exactly. I had previously passed this test 3 times but for some reason , I was now just a little out. Fortunately she was called away for 5 minutes and one genius in our group suggested we run the test and time exactly how long it too before the sticks lined up. I think it was about 7 seconds. Anyway , when the woman returned we all passed the test by silently counting to 7 . She looked a bit surprised but shrugged her shoulders and let us go.

Yes , the Bangkok Pattaya hospital definitely saved my life where our local hospital in Bangkok dropped the ball and left me at deaths door. I just managed to drive to Pattaya as I was expecting to die and had good friends there who would help my wife in her hour of need. The BPH got straight to it and pulled me back from the brink. They even made a video of my case as it was so rare. It's a pity that they had to pad the bill when I checked out. I had paid for everything ever day and never went to sleep without being paid up. Nonetheless, the next morning they presented me with a final bill of some 30,000 baht ? I asked for a breakdown of how they arrived at this amount which threw the cat amongst the pigeons. 30 minutes later they gave me the breakdown with inflated prices for the most trivial of things. I was still too weak to argue so left it at that. In the balance , they definitely saved my bacon and all the medical staff were top notch so no complaints. In fact my bed baths by two pretty nurses handling my wedding tackle under the wife's supervision was probably worth 30,000.
