  1. There's topics like this before . This type is dangerous ... this is full adult . This is the other type , not dangerous . As you can see the difference , 1 has legs sideways , other one has legs underneath . There are color variations , but the main thing stays , avoid the sideway legs . Another big difference is the speed of moving , the dangerous type moves quick , even small they react fast . The harmless type , rolls up .
  2. Remember Ukraine lived under Russian( Soviet) regime before . They do not like to go back there and they are fighting for their country , which is a different story then going fighting in another country . Never underestimate somebody defending it's homeland vs a invader . Many are willing to give their lives for it , even if they do not agree with the situation or politics of their country in the 1st place Not saying it is like that over there now , just a general comment on people willing to defend their own country vs a invader . It is very difficult if not impossible to get correct reports right now . The main known is that Russian troops are moving slowly in Kyiv and since that is the capital , it is very important to Ukraine to keep that as long as possible . I do hear things that Russia was thinking less resistance , but like i said , it is difficult to find info which is actually true . It won't be over in a day or a week . They will keep fighting and i cannot see this having a good outcome any time soon , many loss of lives ...
  3. It is far from 70% supporting him , and of that number even much less are in support for the war . You do know that any critical voice in Russia is handled in a "gentle" manner very fast for the last few years .
  4. While i do like it , i also feel sorry for many Russians which have nothing to do with the war , and also do not want it and neither are supporting Putin . I am not saying every Russian is ok , because that would be just the same as they are all bad . They only have the unfortunate fact that they have a Russian passport and do have got Russian money from normal work .
  5. Slight problem when war starts . You did see what happened straight away , people getting their money from ATM/bank to have something in their hands . Your phone , does not hold the bitcoin , there are offline cryptowallets , but they are not on your phone . Also , how you gonna pay when network is down ? People want to have something in their hands , a phone has a value ( low but still it has a value ) , anything which need connection has not . A gold bar/chain does have a lot of value , and does keep up with inflation in case <deleted> hits the fan .
  6. Donald Trump got nothing to do with it , but he is certainly right on it being absolutely possible . It isn't hard to imagine , lots of troops gathered at Europe's East , leaving China less watched . Especially if response to Russia's actions are low , China will see the opportunity to do the same to Taiwan .
  7. 20% ... haha , even at 20% more down , it still is valued more then all other car companies together . Talking overvalued ...
  8. Social media creates unreal worlds , young people ( not only them) can't see behind the fake pics and movies and think "everybody got that" while they are very far from that world creating a lot of pressure on them . 2nd is the world is a much bigger place then the world they live in vs the world they see on social media . They feel like boxed in , creating a lot of stress also .
  9. Come on , you all know , there aren't a lot of tourists now . Supply and demand is the rule . You think everything is trying to stay open for 2y while there are no costumers ? When more tourists arrive , more places will restart opening . Won't all be the same , and especially in the start will get periods when there is overdemand or oversupply , but everything will be returning like before as more people come .
  10. If it is true , best news in a while , especially with the numbers in Europe ( and according measures to be lifted ) . Will is all go back to a more normal situation ? I certainly hope so , i'm all ready to come over in May , and if the news is confirmed , won't take long for me to book my flight .
  11. Somebody mentioned that R&B influenced many artists over the years , like Elvis , The Stones and many others . R&B might be the same name as the old Rhythm &Blues , but anybody saying the R&B is the same like the ones they were influenced with is completely wrong. Do you think this sound the same like this , then you should need to let your hearing fixed .
  12. I highly doubt that Elvis or Stones was influenced by Beyonce and similar <deleted> artists . They were prob influenced by Rhythm & Blues , but that style does not have much in common with the previous artist mentioned . Even if it was ( which is like i said highly unlikely , unless they were time travelers ) whatever somebody is influenced from , does not make me like it . The influences of classical music are everywhere , but yet , many people do not like classical . Anyway , it is my choice and my hearing , and if i do not like i do not like , no matter what anybody else thinks . BTW i can enjoy classical music , rock ( from classic rock over to metal and even lot harder types ) , some dance including hardcore ( Angerfist ) and many other kinds of music . There are many things open for discussion , but taste is not 1 of them .
  13. I am def not enjoying and really hating all r&b , hiphop and similar . I really cant stand it , and i will leave any place playing it as soon as they play it . Im fine with anything else to a degree , but any kind of that kind of music , is a big nono for me .
  14. What i've seen , they do not bring everything down to stable ground . So that leave deep poles , but they only used in BKK area , where the ground is really unstable .Next is make sure the slab is thick enough and the slabs are big/strong enough all attached to eachother . If that is the case , all poles will remain in place and the walls will not crack , even if the soil might move . the poles will remain straight , 100% like the same day they are placed .
  15. Houses crack because they save on the foundations . If the foundation is strong , the building does not move , and the walls do not crack . And the most worse thing is , you do only save a few k by the weaker foundation . Many Thai houses in villages are build to 100k or less , so a few k does matter . On a 1 mill house , the few k is nothing but saves a lot of worries after .
  16. Did you ever work with Smartboard ? Thats the fiber cement type . Good luck trying to attach anything on it . I'd rather use a double wall with cement rendering then touch 8mm fiber cement for a wall . Like i said , it is very brittle . If you do go with the drywall , i suggest anything thicker , so not the 8mm but 12mm . It is just my opinion , the fiber cement boards are not as strong as they suggest they are . Plenty of examples of cracked fiber cement planks / boards and all other things made out of fiber cement .
  17. Not 100% sure about the 8mm smartboard . Smartboard is very brittle , maybe somebody used the 8mm as drywall here , but i would not use it , and rather stick to straight on rendering on the building blocks .
  18. No , because politicians in Thailand ( not only there) are filthy rich , 32 million for them is pocket money . And also , among local Thais , they believe foreigners all got that amount of money also like their politicians and local "superstars" . They don't know middle class income , having enough to live and even get some luxuries here and there , but not having x amount of millions in the bank .
  19. You can work in Thailand for 490 Baht a day , after spending 32 million 1st . Great value ...
  20. Must be a big room ... 48000btu is a massive aircon , and putting batteries for that requires a more then significant investment ( let alone inverters and large amount of solar panels ) .
  21. True , but it is a certain time effect . It will get much worse 1st , and then after you see people wanting to spend a bit more but buy things in a local store again . The big companies wont move , they will remain popular , but after there will be a market again for local stores . Same like for food items , most local stores disappeared in favor of supermarkets , now there is already a shift going on to locally produced and sold products .
  22. Some businesses went up big time , others like clothes do suffer for quite some time yes . Only e-commerce there is still doing ok ( up many %) . People working a lot more from home and since many work in offices , they do not need/want to buy lots of different clothes for work . Also , nightlife is shut down , another reason why less clothes are bought . On the other side , i do see lot of high value goods changing hands rapid , as part of inflation/investment/just spending ... but they aren't clothes .
  23. This will certainly attract foreigners ... a whole new city . They might ever been to Bangkok but now they can visit a new city Krung Thep ....
  24. The 5.4kWatt is for the 48000 btu , so thats a big cooler . Beyond that , the power drawn will not always be 5.4 kW as long as it is a inverter type . The cooling capacity will be lower if the desired temp is reached . In your 48000 btu type , min cooling is 21000 btu and max is 50000 btu . The exact amount of energy used is not given in min amount but guessing according to the min btu of 21000 , it will be like 2000/2500 Watt . Some brands do give the min power drawn , like they give for the minimal cooling capacity .
  25. I did change my 5y old phone last year , i could still do all banking i wanted or everything else for that matter . I only wanted a new phone ... and yes i bought a cheap Samsung A41 , which is certainly not top model , but i wanted the smaller display and there aren't a lot of phones on the market with smaller screen . ( yes not everybody likes a 7-10 inch display to carry with them ) .
