  1. Agree, and at either Ranong (Grand Andaman pier checkpoint) or Padang Besar Malaysia. Personally, I would go with Ranong as significantly less busy, and slightly closer (<5 hours by bus).
  2. Was involved in a Civil Court (not Criminal Court) case in Bangkok a few years ago as the defendant in a commercial debt dispute. The first court appearance took place in Feb and the case was finally settled a few months later in June (i.e., less than 6 months in total). During that period I had to travel overseas so I checked with the plaintiff first to see whether they had notified Immigration to block me from leaving, to which they replied that they don't do that so I was free to travel. However, in your case as an alleged criminal the situation may be different.
  3. It's not holding 2 visas concurrently - the WP is not a visa, it's issued by the Ministry of Labour and simply permits you to work legally. Prior to that either a Non-B or a Non-O (marriage) issued by Immigration/MFA is required enabling you to visit/stay in Thailand.
  4. You could get one in KL, as a friend of mine got a 60d tourist visa there a few months ago (you may need to make an online appointment a couple of weeks beforehand). You can extend it for a further 30 days at Hua Hin Immigration Office as long as your hosts have registered you as staying at their address (using the online TM30 website).
  5. 390 baht per box
  6. Last month I opened a 14 mth FD with Krungsri getting 2.2% p.a., and recently I noticed that they have been advertising a 9 mth FCD in USD at 5.2% p.a.
  7. If you do a border bounce exit on 25th Dec, then you would be stamped back into Thailand for 90 days (not 3 months), i.e., until 24th March 2024.
  8. Indeed, even deemed as being "non-pointworthy" with the policemen doing their best to keep the arms/hands straight by their side.
  9. I renew my DL in Cha-am, although I live in Bangkok and have my registered address in a Bangkok district yellow book. No problem whatsoever, and in fact the Cha-am DLT staff are more efficient and friendly, accepted my yellow book address without question, and was overall a much more pleasant experience than renewing in Bangchak or Chatuchak.
  10. An old story, it happened many months back. One of his private planes was used for the transportation; and he's now Minister for the Interior since the last election.
  11. So you are still taking NR despite the cancer linkage...I've been taking NMN instead (early morning), and also Taurine later in the day.
  12. I got a 12 mth M/E Non O Thai Visa from the consulate in HCMC earlier this year. I made an online appointment 3 weeks in advance and brought with me the required documents that they had listed on their website, as well as my Thai bank book. It was a painless experience and I received the visa 2 days later.
  13. I would be curious to see comparable Thai statistics. I had blood clots in my feet 2 months after my second shot of AZ, however the Thai doctor insisted that the clots were not a result of AZ and that it was just coincidental.
  14. I've never been a UK/EU resident so the non-residence issue did not apply. The purpose is for receiving commission income from European clients for a new project I'm involved with. I liked the jurisdiction reputation of IOM and tax treatment, as well as good interest rates on FD's if I accumulate funds there.
  15. I'm going through the account opening procedure with Standard Bank, Isle of Man at present. If doing it remotely it takes a few weeks including video calls and their own due diligence and background checks. The minimum account balance for their Optimum Account which is their transactional account is $7,000. The interest rates offered on their Fixed Term Deposits is of course much better than in Thailand.
  16. With the prevailing poor air quality over the past week the mask wearing at present is not unexpected.
  17. I've been buying monthly from iHerb for most of this year, and the typical delivery time has been about 8 days. However, this month the deliveries are significantly slower. I noticed in the order tracking that this month my orders are being delivered from LA to BKK via Doha, whereas in the past it had been LA to BKK via SG, so this change in transhipment location seems to have slowed the delivery times. Hopefully, the current delays are only temporary.
  18. Faggots & Mash from the Old English
  19. The amounts that you've mentioned are for the Angkor Wat entry fees. Instead you should apply for the 30 day e-visa, as per the following: https://www.evisa.gov.kh/information/visa_type/4
  20. If you have the budget for it, Bumrungrad have a Rehab centre in Bang Krachao Bangkok.
  21. In the upper left side of the screen, you need to tick the box in the address field, and then on the right side you then click 'search', following which your notification details should then appear. Then take a screenshot.
  22. There is a precedent... Ex-PM Morarji Desai of India Consumed Cow Urine For Medicinal Benefits "Cow urine is used in the preparation of several types of medicines. It is used even for the treatment of incurable disease like cancer." https://www.outlookindia.com/website/story/india-news-ex-pm-morarji-desai-consumed-cow-urine-for-medicinal-benefits-junion-health-minister-ashwini-kumar/338174
  23. I got the Krungsri Exclusive Visa card earlier this year. In my opinion there's not much benefit in being a Krungsri Exclusive client unless they approve you the visa card, as quite a few of the benefits come with the card. Fortunately, I already had a current Krungsri Platinum Visa card (unsecured) from years ago when I had a work permit. So I had to apply for swapping the card to the Krungsri Exclusive Visa card (unsecured) which took a couple of weeks. I was not required to show updated income documents which was a relief, but I did need to consent to an updated credit bureau report. Without the existing track-record I believe that applying for their visa card on an unsecured basis would be difficult. My accounts are domiciled at their Emquartier branch, which is foreigner friendly. The staff there took care of the visa card swap application, and occasionally they contact me of there's a new fixed deposit offering. They have plenty of info on investing in mutual funds although that's mostly in Thai language.
