I mean involved, by getting sucked into building the website more than developing your business idea. My ideas were just as much about the website as much as the business idea, your focus may be in a different area. Maintenance - I was using Wordpress, there are various plugins that get updated that break the site or layout from time to time - sometimes the site goes down, and you might want someone alerted and take care of it, you also need hosting - do you want to deal with a yearly bill for a server with space that you dont use (not expensive) or let someone else handle everything? The dropship idea had a shopping basket feature, PayPal payment, if I was producing new designs someone would need to update the catalogue, but really, it was matter of duplicating a segment and replacing the images and text, but in your case I presume you just need a one page with your info. It's worth digging around yourself, asking yourself if you possess the skills to produce a website to - its not so much about coding, although it can be, its often about design - Youtube is always a good place to start with tutorials. If you are setting up a business later in the year then you should look into making your own one page site, its not difficult and quite interesting. DIVI is pretty easy to learn, its just drag and drop. I had a little drop shipping enterprise, printing t-shirts in China for online teachers and I got a guy on fiverr to build me a e-commerce site, it was cheap enough, but the guy wanted a lot of money to maintain it, so its worth acquiring the know how to maintain your own site. Fiverr was a good option, I don't know about now. If you don't want to get too involved, there are plenty of designers on the indian subcontinent available at budget prices, they are a bit lacking in imagination but once you have a basic framework in DIVI you can make a backup and play with the content. Why would you move to Matter or Thread at this early stage, I dont think there is the hardware support at the moment. I think there are some stand alone relays - but haven't seen light switches. Retrofitting a Thai house is a nightmare, boxes don't follow the sizes of the smart devices but its possible with collars or surrounds. I have used and will continue to use zigbee in my house without any major issues, you just need a device that has constant power to extend the range, like a wifi plug. I'm thinking this will have a similar range to the new arrivals, I will use wifi for longer reaches. Why not try sonoff devices first? work out if they achieve the goals. Not too sure what you mean about Thai nightlife, but when I see videos of clubs from all over the world, instead of people doing stupid dances its just a sea of cellphone screens. So much so that a fair number of clubs have a zero tolerance to cellphones, you are ejected - or if permitted they put a sticker over the camera lens.

I have a lot of experience with Thai teenagers - I used to teach in a provincial tec college. Kids are a little naughty, a little mischievous, distracted - but likeable and creative. I thought it was the norm for kids not only to spend their time watching online content but like making it, using messenger services to meet up, keep in contact, etc. I was amazed how far their digital network spreads here - smartphones are a tool. An old friend sent her 19 year old son to start his backpacking trip with my wife and I - he had nothing to say, no personality, total oxygen thief who spent all day on the bed looking at TikTok, he didn’t post any content of the time, he was constantly chatting but what about? He didn’t do anything?? just travelled most of the way around the world to lie on a bed. When we went out, instead of being amazed by what he saw, he played candy crush. Really, I wouldn’t complain about Thai youth, they are way better than the British kid that I came into contact with.

I agree, well worth it. I think I paid 100K+ for a 5.1 system inc. a Yamaha tuner that was in the sale - I would say, in Thailand, that's entry level. Last Sunday we were watching The Grand Tour, the sound was spot on, the cars were in my living room. i'm also blown away every time you watch some quality viewing with a good soundmix. My wife loves it too - horses for courses I guess.

I guess everyone's experience could be different, the point is that carrying millions of baht to a land office is really not unusual, and it's not uncommon for sellers to ask for cash on the day for the reasons given. I would rather pay by bank transfer / bankers draft / internet transfer but was told on multiple occasions by the land office it would take an extra day. I would have even waited, i'm not that impatient but had a return flights booked, as its Thailand others experience may vary.

I was just about to say, afaik the foreign runners (apart from western fun runners) that are here are competitive / pro African runners, they travel over SEA and compete for the prize money, lol. Not that I know anything about it, but aren't they recruited / paid to run for clubs or are they pace setters? There were a few in Hat Yai, you would see them at immigration, along with the Cameroon football players, they were there for their visa extensions based upon work (legally) and had work permits. I do see that there should be a best of Thailand prize because as mentioned, its just a bit of a Sunday morning jog for the Africans, but the marathon organizers are shooting themselves in the foot, perhaps its is racial and they no longer want the Africans taking the pot.
