  1. When Ernest Seton turned 21, his father handed him an itemized bill for everything spent on him up to that point. The total came to $537.50 and his father set the interest rate at 6%. Seton paid the debt, but changed his name and never talked to his father again.
  2. Good post. One point tho' - Altho' the CAN be recycled, there is this ... The valorization of waste lithium-ion batteries and their materials through recycling has gained significant attention in recent years. The recycling rate of lithium-ion batteries is still low at under 5%, however. The main reasons for this are cost and the complexity of recycling methods. https://www.azom.com/news.aspx?newsID=57992
  3. Two of ours run LPG since new. One 220K one 260K - no issues 16.5 THB per liter if memory serves. But don't tell the EV Zealots this - they will push for a ban on LPG as it comes from that dirty old crude oil, along with medicine, fertilizer, plastic, etc etc etc
  4. Try reading the whole post - picking and snipping to make a non existent point makes you look ... well ...
  5. Not just here - World Wide. I been riding bikes a long time. The only understanding you need to keep alive is - Be Aware Beware Assume all other road users are out to kill you and you would not be far off. This also applies to driving cars and trucks - small and large. Keep the brake covered, head on a swivel - which includes mirrors. You may need the Xtra meters you gain on a bike by doing so.
  6. Unless you use an agent
  7. Yup - all OEM use only the best, highest quality, top notch components so their customers can enjoy miles and miles and years and years of trouble free motoring. Google Tesla door handles, BMW plastic intake manifolds, ... I could go on and on.
  8. Now gone from 'free' to 'cheaper'
  9. Broken piston rings or a scored cylinder will show up on a simple compression test or cylinder leakdown test. Remove spark plugs, connect gauge, crank over engine.
  10. He is doing it for himself, not for anybody else. So your mythical 'What If' does not apply.
  11. Did you miss the part of my post where I said "all OEMs" ? So N. American, European, All Asian OEMs are covered under 'China Bashing' ?
  12. So now ... it has changed from being 'Free' to 'Saving money' ?
  13. I have a rigid cover - if I want to haul something oversize I have hooks mounted on the roof of the carport. Use ratchet straps to lift off the cover enuf to drive away. When job finished back under cover, lower, secure.
  14. There are bad roads and good roads in every country on Earth, and Thailand is no exception. On trips CNX BKK we cruise at 150 - 160. Never a problem. No potholes a foot deep !!! Some people LOVE drama !!! 555
  15. Tim is a great resource. He would know without a doubt
  16. No aggressor gives a hoot about the people in the country they invade. It is all a money game, played by the same 'Ol players, for the same goals, at the same costs. "Be the First One on your Block to have your Boy come Home in a Box' This is the reality.
  17. 555 - they have been making fasteners for years. The problem is trying to use the cheapest materials and manufacturing. Things that all OEMs - and particularly our CCCP northern neighbors - do all the time.
  18. Agree. Most people analyze everything before, during, and after they do it. My analysis comes down to something like this - Pull the trigger ... Good, I hit the target. Or too bad, I missed. End Of - onward and upward. Remain Open - many things come your way if you do.
  19. Which is where most all the stuff for sale at Baan Tawai comes from
