Electric Vehicles in Thailand
josephbloggs replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Too late to edit my answer, but @Cameroni why do you think they have petrol stations on the Nordschleife? Not sure if you know what this race track is, how long it is, how hilly it is, or how brutal it is for all kinds of vehicles. More than 300m of elevation gain around the circuit. 170+ corners. -

"Real life testing" is driving flat out around the Nurburgring?? Really?? Again you are talking rubbish. A Nissan GT-R uses almost half a tank on a flying lap. (Same as the Tesla used almost half its battery). A BMW 135i uses about a quarter of a tank on a lap, as does a Subaru Impreza WRX STi. I have no comment on the Tesla's brakes - maybe they are not very good. -

In nearly all these news reports it is NMC batteries. In Korea it was a Merc EQE and a Kia V6, both have NMC batteries. I definitely wouldn't buy an NMC powered EV (not only for that reason). LFP just seems so much less volatile.

Your ignorance is astounding. Do you actually live in Thailand? I suspect not. EV sales as a percentage of the car market are increasing month on month. Thailand's charging infrastructure is very well established and extensive. Drive around Bangkok and there are EVs everywhere, literally everywhere. Several in my soi alone. You literally have no idea what you are talking about at all. Edit: I honestly don't get it. What gets people so riled up about a propulsion method that they resort to just making stuff up? I really don't understand. Maybe Mr Cameroni can explain? Maybe he doesn't have eyes, maybe he is intoxicated by diesel fumes? Maybe he just worships the orange man. Which one is it? Maybe a combination of all three? The orange man said they need to stop for recharging every 15 minutes. He also said if an electric boat sinks everyone gets electrocuted. You probably believe him.

Life Sentence for Spaniard in Koh Pha-ngan Murder Case

Absolute nonsense. If you are in custody and then sentenced that is it, you're done. Sorry if that spoils your fantasy. -
How are your cherries doing? All sales are down, ICE and EV. From your link: However, the order for all-electric VW vehicles increased by 124% in West Europe. This increase suggests that more Europeans are transitioning to electric vehicles. You really should read the whole article before you post the link, it would stop you looking silly. And from your second link "luxury" EV sales are down from the legacy auto makers, because they are overpriced rubbish. The general consensus is that there is a demand for more affordable EVs, which automakers are striving to launch. Nearly all major automakers in the EV market have unveiled plans for affordable electric vehicles starting around $25,000. Tesla has the Model 2 or Model Q EV coming out, which has yet to be unveiled. Earlier this year, Volkswagen shared plans for a new EV under €25,000. However, it will still take some time before affordable EVs hit the road. A few legacy automakers have turned to hybrids to boost sales until they launch more affordable electric vehicles. Now in EOW and transam style, here are some childish emojis. 🍒🍒🍒🍒 Haven't seen the old troll for a while, did he finally get banned?

Ok. I don't have to pay my wife a salary or her family, I don't have to "reduce the payments" if I am not happy with how they are being spent. But up to you. If you can't get a wife without paying her cash then the only incel is a lot closer to home. As I said, what a life some people here lead, wow. Next!

Seriously give it a rest. This is a very unusual collapse in Thailand, the rescue teams are doing their best and have brought in as much specialist equipment and people as they can at short notice. hundreds of people are doing their best but all you can do is snipe, it is pathetic and disrespectful. Ever thought the fans are turned off as well as other equipment so they can listen for signs of life? It is on in all the other pictures. I am sure that is standard practise every so often to have silent moments to iisten for signs of life. Maybe the people there are trained, maybe they are volunteers and untrained, but it seems to me they are using the best equipment available, radar, signs of life scanners, dogs, etc. All you can do is make snide comments. Why not get in there and volunteer if you know better than the people who are putting their lives at risk to try and rescue people? Or you just prefer to do your rescue from your keyboard? Honestly I hate people like you who belittle people who are putting their lives at risk and trying their best. All from behind the safety of your keyboard. All you have done throughout this entire thread is belittle, snipe, put heroic people down, and it is sad sad sad. You are not there, you are not doing anything. Give it a rest.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Wow, that looks great. That, with six proper armchairs (ventilated front seat too), glass roof, all that tech, 0-100km in 8.6s, and silent motoring for 530kms for less than a million baht! Or a Toyota Innova with erm, plasticky interior, noisy 0-100kms of 10.4 seconds for nearly 1.5m baht! Oh yeah but it's got revolutionary self charging hybrid technology! So you could get the BYD M6 and a Neta V for the price of the equivalent Toyota. Mental. I would definitely be tempted by that to replace the wife's HR-V which is getting on now (8-9 years old). -

They aren't. Just that one is. What a stupid comment. Plenty of pig ugly ICEVs but it doesn't mean all ICEVs are ugly. -
Thanks for the update. I can confirm that the AIS package is definitely not capped - it is only the limit for maximum speed, after that you still get unlimited data but at a slower speed (128kbs if I remember correctly). I just use the AIS packages whenever I travel as it is easy. I work while I am away and I have never come close to hitting the maximum speed cap. As long as you are not streaming video every day it is more than enough.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
josephbloggs replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
A PHEV somewhat makes sense. But not a HEV. Aside from the regen braking a HEV is stealing power from the motor. It doesn't matter how magically efficient this engine is it is not magic, so there are many inefficiencies and losses to move power from the ICE to a battery. WHy not have a PHEV where there aren't these losses, you are putting electricity directly in to the battery (and topping up with regen braking). Don't tell me you believe the "self charging hybrid" myth. Next thign you'll be telling us about transam's magic new engines that are going to DESTROY THE EV FUTURE!!!!
