yes, but w/o an agent, you have to spend all that time beforehand filling out forms... yes, I know it is not that difficult and did it for 15 years before moving to CM where there are agents who do it for me. I appreciate the service - easy enough to do yourself if you prefer. Up to you. It is just a matter of how you want to spend your time. And I never have to worry if things are filled out properly or not. No stress.

I shook hands w/a neighbor today - his idea but he is a really nice guy... and he does not have a sweaty palm. 100% - absolutely so. And so easily done. Knowing when to Wai is not difficult nor is returning a wai, no matter who offers it to you... for me, being older than dust, it is mostly just a matter of returning a wai... What I don't like is shaking someone's germy hand as Westerners often do.. I understand that it is polite to cover your mouth when coughing, but then a few minutes later, shake someones hand?? Not for me.

I used to get irony when I was younger... I still enjoy smiles and laughter... but that is mostly with Thai people.
