Trump just said he is going to pardon the J6 "hostages".
connda replied to thaibeachlovers's topic in Political Soapbox
Good. The J6 convictions have been a literal witch-hunt. It's time to roll that back. -
People make mistakes. I've been given too much change on occasion at 7/11 and then return it as I don't want these kids having there paychecks docked. But as far as being scammed. No.

Chiang Mai Tackles PM2.5 Pollution with Ambitious Five-Year Strategy
connda replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Mai News
In my neck of rural Northern Thailand, the local government has a strict burn ban. No farmers burn their fields as they would get immediate attention for the authorities. That's for real. Nobody is burning fields where I live. Instead? They go up into the mountains and set arson fires to clear underbrush for mushrooms. That forest arson causes the majority of the local PM 2.5 and haze. In another 45 days all the forests in the mountains around us will be on fire and nobody will see anything. Why? Everyone drops they day jobs to go mushroom hunting in the rainy season. -

Gone With The Wind: Still one of the greatest books ever?

I've never read it, but now that you mentioned it, I think I'll put it into my "To Read" list. -
For christsakes. Taken out of context, everyone is a Nazi. Catch a wave or a gesture at the right moment and you can claim that <enter the person you hate here> is a Nazi. And I don't particularly like any of these people, but like Elon Musk, they ARE NOT shooting Nazi salutes. It's a camera moment taken completely out of context.

Have you been scammed/overcharged at 7-11? No.

Biden pardons Fauci, Miley and Jan 6 committee staffers!
connda replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
I imagine that the preemptive pardons will find their way to the SCOTUS. If preemptive pardons are allowed to stand then government officials are basically given a "get out of jail free" card for committing illegal acts during the tenure of an administration if the administration covers their illegal acts during and then post-administration via preemptive pardons. That is a slippery slope and not what the author's of the Constitution had in mind. That will be taken to court. -
Actually many of us aren't "MAGA fanboys" but conservatives who are just tired of rampant progressiveness which seeks to undermine the social fabric of the West. I agree with some of Trump's policies; I disagree with some of Trump's policies. And although I didn't vote for either of the primary candidates, I did prefer to see him win over Harris. I do see his term in office pushing the social pendulum back toward the right and back toward conservatism, and I applaud that. "You're a MAGA fanboy for sure!" Nah - just an old Classical Leftie.

Welcome To MAGA Monday - Trump's Inauguration is today. 🇺🇸 🎇 How do you plan to celebrate the day? I'm waiting with keen expectations to see the first tranche of executive orders overturning as much of the progressive liberal nonsense that has plagued the US for the last 4 years. And you?

Expats How Do You Deal With The Toxic Air Pollution in Thailand?
connda replied to Mitkof Island's topic in General Topics
I reload my air purifiers with a new HEPA filter, and then hunker-down for the next three months staying primarily indoors. Sucks as it may, it's just the nature of the beast up here in Northern Thailand. It won't change. -

Rachel Reeves: Quit Now the Tipping Point for Britain’s Economy is Here
connda replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Keep the Marxist ideology alive and Britain will goes right down the loo with all the other progressive left, Neo-authoritarian basket cases like Germany, France, and most of the EU, all claiming to be economically vibrant "Democracies" as their economies hit the skids and the natives get restless and start demanding fiscal and social conservatism to return. Of course, it's all "Putin's fault" naturally. -

Trending:The world is waking up to the Woke Progressives
connda replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Wait until Western liberal leaders begin to annul the results of elections claiming <Russian, Musk, China, TikTok, enter_some_excuse_here> interference like they did in Romania, or use NGOs to stoke street violence to overthrow the elected government like they are attempting to do in Georgia (the country). Then look out as the silent majority wakes up. -

Trump’s Inauguration: A Gathering of Global Far-Right Leaders
connda replied to Social Media's topic in World News
So says the Far-Left Politico. I guess if the libels can frame all conservatives as "far-right" then we conservatives can frame all liberals as "far-left." Dear Far-Lefties, Read 'em and weep. The general public in your respective countries have had enough of your progressive, so-called "liberal democracy" which looks more like national socialist and Marxist "democratic" authoritarianism, and the majority are about to kick you all out via the ballot box. However, we fully expect that you'll all blame Russia for your losses, and then annul the elections and claim yourselves as victors! We expect nothing less of you.
