  1. “In this case, former President Trump hasn't been charged with spying for a foreign government, or espionage as we normally think about it, but he has been charged with willfully withholding national defense information – which is the way that a case like this is normally charged,” https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/13/politics/espionage-act-trump-what-matters/index.html#:~:text=“In this case%2C former President, normally charged%2C” Cordero said. In any case Trump is his own worst enemy. He had complied with lawful requests he wouldn't be in the position he now finds himself.
  2. With iPhone easy to run iTunes.
  3. OP: If you only want an iPhone for basic functionality get an iphone12 with, say 256 Gb of memory to endure sufficient storage for downloaded music. Apple IOS updates are supported. FYI I have an iPhoneSE with 256 memory which currently support approx 5,600 downloaded tracks from iTunes, I have an old car so run the music from iPhone plugged into the radio.
  4. Unfortunately you're incorrect. There some neo Nazi groups in Australia who create problems.. One assumes you're aware that Western intelligence agencies, including Australia, have identified far right groups as one of the current primary threats. BTW the Australian Constitution does not explicitly protect "Free Speech".
  5. You're correct, if No Further Stay condition with visa; not always the case. Info re partner visa,,, https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/partner-onshore
  6. Upon arrival in Oz, say two months later, apply for a partner visa. Partner will be granted a bridging visa. You need to check the waiting time for processing, but around 12 months. Check online the T&Cs to see if see is eligible for work and access to Medicare whilst waiting for partner visa to be granted. BTW the info you seek is available online.
  7. Correct, but the Civil Courts was the chosen path of Roberts - Smith. He was provided the opportunity not to proceed with a civil case. Remember war crimes were identified by a military inquiry ,the Bereton Report; refer below... https://www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliament/Parliamentary_Departments/Parliamentary_Library/pubs/BriefingBook47p/BreretonReport
  8. Australia's most-decorated living soldier Ben Roberts-Smith has lost a historic defamation case against three newspapers that accused him of war crimes in Afghanistan. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-65773942
  9. Farage never took any responsibility - just a loudmouth.
  10. Which has zero relevance to the OP based upon current threat levels, which is why I posted an example of current threats which Biden is referencing.
  11. To put the OP in perspective refer below. There are numerous other articles based upon Federal government assessments over the past five years or so. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/04/white-supremacists-terror-threat-dhs-409236 .
  12. Because the changes to law have not been enacted. It is a waste of time to repeatedly reference the matter in very lengthy posts. As I mentioned and as you suggest, if a member is concerned about these matters write to your political representative, media outlets etc. It is a total waste of time to keep carrying on in this forum.
  13. Because at this stage it's only an opinion. To keep on rabbiting on about the matter in lengthy posts is irritating. If a member is so concerned about possible future changes to taxation law, <deleted> contact your Senator and stop wasting people's time on the forum.
  14. No, it's a civil case. Currently claiming he will appeal verdict.
  15. No prejudice on my part, just providing some info; refer below. No further reply to you. Australian Government gross debt has increased from $534.4 billion in March 2019 to $894.9 billion as of 28 October 2022. The October 2022–23 Budget forecasts further increases in gross debt to $1.159 trillion (43.1% of GDP) by the end of the 2025–26 financial year (Budget strategy and outlook: budget paper no. 1: 2022–23, p. 218). While these are the highest levels of debt on issue by the Australian Government since the 1950s, they remain well below both Australian historical peaks reached following the Second World War (p. 8) and current government debt levels held by governments in other developed countries. https://www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliament/Parliamentary_departments/Parliamentary_Library/pubs/rp/BudgetReviewOctober202223/AustralianGovernmentDebt
  16. Info on Australian Federal debt... Since the beginning of the pandemic, Australian Government gross debt has increased from $534.4 billion in March 2019 to $894.9 billion as of 28 October 2022. Australian Government debt – Parliament of Australia (aph.gov.au)

  18. Very sad, died from long term bowel cancer on his return to Oz for a Masterchef series filming whilst family were still on holiday in Italy. https://mumbrella.com.au/masterchef-australia-judge-jock-zonfrillo-passes-away-ten-postpones-season-premiere-785337
  19. Unfortunate commentary. Glassing / bottling does occur in Oz. Acts of cowardly extreme violence which should receive severe jail sentences as should the guy in the OP. Hopefully police will not accept any pay off.
  20. I could be wrong, but it seems to me Russians with money liaise with the political classes. It would only take a few calls to ascertain whether there is any interest for intros. e.g: https://thailand.mid.ru/ru/embassy/contacts/ CONSULATE GENERAL OF RUSSIA IN PHUKET Address: 63/501 Moo 2, Thepkasattri Road, Kohkaew, Muang, Phuket, 83000 Tel. (mobile): +66 95 259 80 81 (general number for all questions
  21. Why not contact Russian Embassy for some intros to possible buyers.
  22. From Wiki... Scholars generally identify Cleopatra as essentially of Macedonian Greek ancestry with some Persian and Sogdian Iranian ancestry. This is based on the fact that her Macedonian Greek family – the Ptolemaic dynasty – had intermarried with the Seleucid dynasty that ruled over much of West Asia.
  23. Remember Age Pension if funded out of the annual budget. If you're a homeowner why should taxpayers fund your retirement if you have more than AUD$280k cash in savings? Some info on Age Pension assets criteria... https://superguy.com.au/superannuation/how-much-super-can-you-have-and-still-get-the-pension/
  24. Minorities tend to want changes to their environment, though rarely successful. However, Westerner's on this forum certainly whine and complain profusely with zero results.
  25. Thai Muslim citizens have equal rights under the Thai Constitution so they are entitled to lobby concerning matters related to legislation, as they are in the UK.
