Doesn't answer the question what exactly is "legitimate interest" Of course I use the internet since "online" in the late 60's and I know they steal my data but that doesn't mean I can't question/complain about the underhanded tricks used to steal it.

This morning when I accessed Asean I was confronted by a "cookie permission screen" so I see Asean are busy "monetising" my data. Not only that but there were an enormous number of "legitimate interest" buttons to individually switch off with no "reject all" options only "accept all" and "save selection" My view: The only person who has a legitimate interest in my data is ME.

Even if there were "rules" do you think anyone would abide by them ?

If you use a percussion drill percussion drills always tend to move because of the vibration then this is what I do. Frst I start without percusion and at slow speed to establish the correct location for the hole once I have a hole sufficient to allow the drill bit to be located that I then switch to percussion. But I agree drilling breeze block or concrete is a pain (and you never know if your chosen spot has some embedded metal reinforcement behind)!

I occasionaly keep tabs on my glucose level ( I do not think I have diabetes but at my age I like to monitor). This morning on waking up I tested with my meter - result 6. (fasting) I had one piece of toast with raspberry jam. 2 hours later I did another glucose test - result 4.9 I would have expected it to have risen but it went down.

For several years before and after Covid we have managed to not be in Thailand between March and June - this year we could not avoid being here and the temperature has been a big shock (i don't remember it like this when I first came in 2010. Also electricity prices have gone up significantly so running AC is expensive. I have two - they work fine BUT always if I am going away for a longish period I disconnect the battery - also you can buy a solar based trickle charger that will keep the battery topped up used to have one in my camper van.
