  1. 4000 Baht? I am afraid that's the one way price. Just checked on AirAsia site. Almost 14000. (other same day flight times slightly higher). Add transport DMK and overnight/accomodations and you can end up at 20000.
  2. Indeed. Another option. Talk to expert for difficult cases ???? They might convince immigration about your income. I am also surprised that you don't mention health insurance. Done or not requested?
  3. Ever thought about killing the whole Non O-A status? Doing border run and enter visa exempt. Then Non-O three months and after that a one year extension. That's what I and many others did. Details in other threads available. Why don't you name the offices involved? Nothing to fear of. If it's that bad maybe a "temporary relocation" useful?
  4. Extremely blown up story. A mentally disturbed "Prince of Reuß", one former elite soldier ("the military arm") and a bunch of conspiracy theorist, COVID deniers, anti vaxxers, antisemites etc. pp. But a wonderful chance for the leftist incompetent madam interior minister to distract from the real threats to society.
  5. And sometimes they can be strict. African swine fever is one reason.
  6. Yet another train accident in Spain? 2013 79 deaths in terrible derailment. 2019 two commuter trains collided near Barcelona(!). Now 2022, two trains collided on the outskirts of Barcelona.
  7. SCB is easy. On the top menue "Utilities" -> "PEA". Bangkok Bank for strange reason knows MEA (Bangkok) but not PEA. I have setup PEA App and then pay through internet banking. Works well. Ages that I went to the PEA office. If all fails I can pay at 7/11, Lotus's etc. for a small fee. Like this: http://lertsirikarn.blogspot.com/p/thai-id-number-generator.html Refresh page. SCB:

    Prices etc

If Baht bus price is your concern, you can relax. If drink prices, ladydrinks and barfine in WS Gogos are your concern, check your savings Closing time 2 AM. Under discussion to change to 4 AM. A lot of businesses have gone south since Covid but no lack of entertainment. On the other hand, new names, lots of changes as usual in Pattaya. Still terrible road construction in Pattaya, can lengthen Baht bus trip. Usual traffic chaos on weekends. Jomtien fairly quiet (was there in first week of November). Lots of huge new buildings on Naklua rd. Demolishing to make room for even more. Basically no more facial masks in public with exceptions (some Thai people). Many people still wearing masks particularly in malls, banks, offices etc.
  9. Surprising to me that tourists still flock to Bali where the medieval barbarians had bombed about 202 people to death. "The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, 23 Britons, and people of more than 20 other nationalities)". And then another bombing 2005 with 20 deaths.
  10. ? TM30 receipt Mine is titled "RECEIPT OF NOTIFICATION" And below: "HAVE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF ALIEN'S ADDRESS FROM"
  11. But I try to pinpoint the exact location (coordinates). And what I find on the FB page or else is rubbish. So you would have to ask your way in the district. A picture helps:
  12. Wat Poo Yot Ruuay Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province The district is here: https://goo.gl/maps/uuV4MbQBogSrF9MF6 (will try to pinpoint the location) East of Ubon Ratchthani, before the Cambodian border. Probably the eastern most part of Thailand. Quite a trip if you don't live in southern/eastern Isan. Facebook page in Thai: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100078708438722
  13. As you can see, XE uses the zero fee with lower rate method. Some like it or fall for it. I don't. BUT I admit that the comparison shows (almost) cheapest transfer for WISE while XE has same result for all payment methods. Credit card payment is not recommended with WISE but with XE you are quick and flexible (no lengthy bank transfers etc.). For now I will stay with WISE.
  14. Just did a simple comparison of XE vs WISE for MY typical transfer of 2000 EUR. Taken screenshot same minute (in German but numbers are numbers). And here WISE is still winning with a small difference. And with the method that I use (transfer via a WISE account) I get some xx Baht more than shown. 13,49 EUR is the fee that WISE deducts from the EUR amount.
  15. When I refer to flights Phuket to Penang I mean direct/nonstop flights. Not the three daily flights with Thaismile via Bangkok for 9740 Baht oneway! Seven hours travel time.
  16. I don't know and never heard. In Khon Kaen there is an intersection with a camera sign that warns two wheelers of red light jumping (24h) and cameras hanging that could video from behind.
  17. You have to understand that there is a highway police which operates outside the communities on open terrain. They have cameras that can take speed (whatever method used). These tickets will always come via postal mail with the photo, speed, location etc. The roadside stops are usually near a local police station. They take measurements just before you approach town. Not effective? I was stunned that the officer showed me my offense with picture and everything on his mobile. Then you have to pay at the roadside station/tent whatever. Get a receipt and with many smiles drive off. But local police can also have cameras at intersections to catch red light violations. These tickets also come with postal mail but from local police. I don't know whether payment has been streamlined in the meantime. Highway tickets scanned with the online banking, push, push, done. And of course: endless camera signs as hollow threats. Non functional. You never know.
  18. Military vehicle still have Thai numerals and script only. And the military is completely independent of the civil (DLT) registration. They do their own thing and rules. Red lights seem to mean nothing to them.
  19. Yes PEN seems unrealistic. No daily flight. Maybe 3 a week or so. Afternoon with "Firefly"(?) airlines. KUL daily 8:45 with AirAsia (arrive 11:15), return 18:50 (arrive 19:20).
  20. My guess: they will hurt the gasoline/gasohol customers with even higher contributions to the oil fund. So if you drive a car/limousine you pay for the stinking smoke belcher in front of you. I would accept that farmers/businesses who depend on pickups and trucks are supported. But it's hard to swallow that all the promenade posers who clog the park decks of Central etc. with their bulky pickups are subsidized. The buying tax advantage for "pickups" (2.5 door/king cabs included) is an absurd mislead policy.
  21. And it might well be that all pumps deliver B7 which is suited for all Diesel engines here. You might remember the "oil crisis" triggered by Indonesia cutting all palm oil exports. As far as I know this is the reason why they don't want high palm oil contents.
  22. Fiber optic cables cut in pieces, bent? Too much for them to realize that the stuff might be completely worthless, simply damaged. Not like copper or aluminum that can be melted and reused.
  23. I was answering to the question about return (eastward) and that IS 13:05 by schedule. Not sure what your excitement is.
  24. As a general rule for such a motorway. But as mentioned, all along motorway #7 there are electronic signs that set max speed per lane. I seen 120 - 100 - 80 - ?
