Just seen the unfavorable schedule of EVA. Arriving 19:25 in the evening So looks like a no go for Manchester. Much better schedules (night flights) with Lufthansa or KLM.

This would be the typical mid east route with Qatar (Doha - Manchester) Manchester is surely served by the major European carriers. You would have to check connection/transit times. Still going nonstop to London with Eva Air seems a good option. Maybe look for a separate booking to Manchester?

This shop on Soi Buakhao not far from Central rd. (about 200 m) is open and working. Saw that some 10 days ago: https://goo.gl/maps/rK3TqdsnF9G2mkHVA

You noticed that the thread is (now?) in the Pattaya forum and the OP lives in Pattaya?

One of the worst price faking low cost airline I ever saw. Maybe also have to pay for payment in final step? (like AirAsia)

What airline goes from Pattaya UTP to Phitsanulok?

The funny thing: unexperienced users even book such and realize quite late what's wrong. The same who book a flight to Sidney instead of Sydney -
What airline goes from Pattaya UTP to Phitsanulok?

That's the link that I use. https://www.airasia.com/en/gb In English and I selected THB as a currency. AirAsia, LionAir and NokAir fly to Phitsanulok (PHS) from DMK. NokAir would be my last choice. -

Useless to search any further. U-Tapao is still extremely quiet. Flights to Phuket, Ko Samui und Chiang Mai. And that not even daily. That's all I found. Looks like there are days with not a single commercial flight. -
Some weeks ago I got a new phone. Moving SIM to the new phone so keeping same number. With that it was very easy to install and setup Bangkok Bank, SCB and Kasikorn. Took me less than 30 minutes. The only remarkable fact: SCB requires mobile internet connection (not WiFi) during the process. Not sure whether it can only be done with a Thai mobile provider?! If you get a new mobile number: off to the bank branch with ID and passbook. Getting my German bank access with two factor authorization working again took over a month! I spare the details. It started with an SMS to my Thai mobile number that never arrived.

On their site you can book BKK - LHR three flights a week in August. Very attractive one way price from 13880. For one stop my choice would be SWISS or Austrian. Finnair is plagued with longer flight times due to airspace closures.

London is a guess but better know.

BA again canceled all Bangkok flights until Oct 22. (from the news, didn't check booking site)

Unidentified foreign driver dies after motorbike crash in Rawai, Phuket

Let's hope he doesn't leave wife/family behind. -
Just checked on Kasikorn website and there it sounds like they can unblock the card. No mention of a fee. SCB: So what you were told at Bangkok Bank sounds unique.

But sure entered the wrong number more than once? If the machine says false it's false. You have three attempts as far as I remember.

Big blue 5 gallon bottles is the cheapest after rainwater. And avoids plastic waste by recycling the bottles. We never use tap/deep well water for cooking. Tap water for washing, shower, brush teeth and the like.

Foreign Bank in Thailand
KhunBENQ replied to TT1951's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
As written: there is no "foreign" bank. All banks are licensed under the same Thai rules. If you want to keep the money in USD there are foreign currency accounts (also at Bangkok Bank). I have no expertise on that except that it is expensive in terms of fees. -

Lufthansa airline and the covid jab

I am just fighting through the highly complicated rules for entry/transit to Germany. One thing seems clear: non vaccinated will have to show a Covid 19 test certificate for a test not older than 48 hours(!) before entry/transit. The rules say explicitely that this also applies for transit. For Thailand an antigen (ATK) test with certificate seems sufficient. Don't ask me about entry to the UK. Maybe another poster can tell.
