SCB book, looking side-wards you see this strange structure.

Tried hard on the last page of Bangkok Bank book but I can't. SCB also has no watermarks that I can see? But on the last page of SCB there is some mystical plastic sheet attached. That looks interesting but no idea what it would do? It has some "wave like structure" and very fine dots printed. I also assume that this is some sort of protection from fakes? It's not simply plain unicolored.

BTW: could you say which bank you refer too. I know the procedure from Bangkok Bank. Just tried my luck with Kasikorn Bank and don't see a watermark. Not sure about Kasikorn book. There might be a watermark not that easy to see.

You can see the watermark (logo and name with an ordinary torch light shine through (from an old cancelled/punched book). Would have been wiser to picture from an empty page of a current book. Too lazy. Probably they still use UV light which might be much more clear and viewable without shine through?

Are you sure that your signature is checked? I doubt it. How would it get there? When opening the account you do two signatures on a thicker separate sheet which is then removed and added to the files at the bank. BUT still interesting: I fiddled with a (smartphone) torch and actually you see that the sheets of the passbook are watermarked! I think they just check for fake passbooks? I will add some photo.

But my belt buckle is detected reliably. I hate taking the belt off. Let them check manually.

No it's surely not the same. Assuming AlkaSeltzer has the same contents everywhere it comes with "Aspirin" (acetylsalicylic). The Aspirin part is likely for hangover headaches? And that is not part of ENO.

You already have a 13 digit citizen ID as shown in the yellow book. And that is usually the difficult part to get. Now you want that pink colored card. If you still live at the same district and go to same office that should be fairly straightforward. Take your yellow book, foreign passport and ask the office. Picture will be taken on site.

This country can hardly handle proper biometrics at the immigration checkpoints (where it is clearly labeled as such). And you think that the local Makro, Lotus, Central stores your face biometrics and then? Compare it to what? Get your real ID from the Chinese, from Mark, from where? Sorry but this threads drifts toward conspiracy stuff. Have you covered your notebook camera (like Mark does) and smartphone punch-hole? If not you should not worry about cameras in Thailand. And maybe you should open your eyes to see the zillions of cameras in this country who go unnoticed. It's not (yet) China where your nightmare is reality.

Does your home country license show an address? Guess not though. I was surprised some years ago being asked about my home country address which I don't have.

These cameras are at so many places, just that YOU don't see the screen but only the security staff. E.g. at airports exits, entries. At Central also but you don't see any result screen. A mate was alarmed about such a thing at our local LOTUS. They record me!! I told him: use the other entrance where the simple infrared thermometer is out of order since months :>>)

The Makro infrared thing just outlines my head with a green square and shows temperature. Where do you take the idea that your "biometrics"(!) are recorded(!). Do you think it's connected to immigration, interpol, FBI, CIA....? Whole body does not make much sense. The face is the base. Ouch! As another posted pointed to, the Ruble fell sharply this morning. It had it's 0.9x value until 2014 (Crimea annexation). From there going down to around 0.50. Through the last days it lured around 0.38. This morning another sharp drop to 0.31. Do the comparison to your currency to get an idea what that means. Would expect that the downturn continues.
