Obviously a heavy backlog after the long closure. Shouldn't be much better at other locations.

Moderna jabs to reach Thailand from mid-October
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They are aware that many applicants have already some kind of vaccination in the meantime. There recently was a questionnaire from THG group. As far as I remember it was started from a LINE post. All in Thai language. I tried my luck to state that I already got the plebs vaccination (Sinovac + AZ (27 Aug)) and would like to have Moderna not before November. Maybe you have to contact your hospital directly. -
Moderna jabs to reach Thailand from mid-October
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There was never an idea/promise that a major part of the population will get Moderna. From the start it was always the paid private hospital stuff. Among the many headlines about vaccination one caught my attention, saying that Moderna immunization lasts much longer than Pfizer. -
Similar observation in Khon Kaen. No fingerprint but also picture and newly printed TM7. Can't they publish and streamline the process? Why bring a photo? Does TM7 and photo end in the bin or add to the waste-paper stockroom? But for the rest quite happy with KK office. No harassment.

Not even a single serious typhoon has made landfall and he knows that there is nothing to worry. Good luck. Sure 2011 started early and lasted and lasted. But read what happened end of September and beginning of October.

Anyone noticed the massive increase in cost of electricity?
KhunBENQ replied to Bangkok Barry's topic in General Topics
Just adding to the crowd. 4.057 is a normal rate without discount/subsidies. 4.057 Baht ~ 10.40 Euro cent. That's about one third of the ridicolous rates in Germany for comparison. -
Fee charged from Bangkok Bank.
KhunBENQ replied to tomx2's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
And a nice gain I learned from reading here: it's free of charge nationwide. No more silly 15 baht "out of province" fee. -
Much recommend as it might help you over the hurdle of theory (multiple choice) test. Driving test is circling on the yard (traffic kindergarten) obeying some traffic signs. Can you drive straight on a 15m long elevated strip of 30 cm width? Because this is the hardest part. Circling around some pylons is quite a joke.

Germany’s Donation of COVID-19 Medication Arrives in Thailand
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The air transport will hopefully be managed by pros who know how to do. And after that the cooling requirements for BionTech/Pfizer have been much relaxed compared to the first months of deployment. -
Germany’s Donation of COVID-19 Medication Arrives in Thailand

Numbers are stunning. Correct? 153 million Baht for 2000 units? 76500 Baht/unit. Damned expensive treatment. Developed in the USA, while a similar development in Germany is starving funds. -
Two motorbikes collide in Don Hualor, all three people involved pass away

But I bet they all properly wore masks like 9x% of riders here. It says so much about their attitude. -
Thai Baht Finally Getting Weaker
KhunBENQ replied to Banana7's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Euro is also back on the right track, 38.89 now. Same to me. A mate has his pension directly paid to his Thai bank account. And again the Euro had dropped significantly before months end (almost touched 38) -
You have to start with 3BBs own speedtest: https://speedtest.3bb.co.th/ Be aware that highest speeds can only be reached with wired connection not via WiFi. If the results are significantly worse than the package you pay for, you can ring 3BB. But as already written: some more details, concrete examples would be helpful.

A drone video of the aftermath. I am surprised how big the site is. A motley mix of ACs on the roof -
Major fire causes serious damage to Walking Street nightclub in Pattaya
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Sorry, you are right. This Nashaa club is on the beach side of WS. I mixed it up with the big one at corner Soi 16 ("Raas"). It's 40 m apart Note to myself: don't post before breakfast! -

This corner is close to the beach. Maybe 80 to 100 m and much bigger and higher than buildings on the beach. -

It's NOT the Beer Garden. Read the article. Very clear. -

KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The article says Nashaa nightclub? That was the big indian club at corner of Soi 16. Many years before there were three Gogos (Boesche, Katz and ?). -
Interestingly: if you enter 50000 Euro to their rate/fee checking website, you are hinted to contact a support team specialized in transferring high amounts. Maybe you can get a "better deal" in terms of fees? For the rest just confirming: if you register with WISE you can get a WISE account in the Euro area (mine is in Belgium) where you can "park" money and wait for best moment to transfer. Is also the cheapest in fees. But for such amount it might really be worth to contact them. No company is interested in parking high amount of Euro in their accounts. Nowadays some banks start taking "negative interest" (covered up as fees) from as low as 50000 Euro.

90 Day report by EMS query
KhunBENQ replied to narisarasgroove's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Although not done postal mail report for a while: I had also simply put 40 Baht on the return envelope and got it back with EMS sticker. That was in Khon Kaen. Of course it means that immigration delivers it to post office and requests registration. There is no way for me to get a registration for the return envelope. -
As I used my pink card (with 13 digit ID) I got the certificate/QR code on the phone next day. As a backup I stored it all locally on the phone and did a print. Need to have the pink card as ID with me of course.
